Refused to sell to my 21 year old son (who readily showed his ID clearly stating date he turned 21), stating that the law says he has to get a new license before he can even carry alcohol out of the store for his mother. Further insisted he isn't even allowed to order a drink in a restaurant until he gets a new license... which doesn't expire for months.

The woman owner harasses everyone who comes in here. I saw a review once where she harassed someone who had a service dog. I went in recently to buy a whiskey for my husband and had trouble deciding so I went to google reviews between 2 and she started yelling at me that I couldn’t have my phone out (???) and I couldn’t “take pictures or text message” while I was in there?? What??

Went there yesterday to pick up some beer and they straight up to my face we don’t not accept Maryland state ids and we only accept drivers license they are pretty much the same thing when it comes to buying alcohol or cigarettes will never shop there and if you don’t have a driver license like I do don’t shop there either you will be wasting your time

Best Belgium beer selection in town. Great whiskey and wine selection. As a bonus, whenever I buy a few bottles of soju from them, the lady throws in a free drinking glass, which is remarkably generous. Today when looking for a sherry cask scotch, the gentleman was prompt and helpful, even informing me of items that will be in stock soon. Aside from the convenience of being next to HT, I go out of my way to bring my business here because of the continued stock quality and customer service.

They have a decent selection, but unfortunately most of it's expired. A few months ago I got food poisoning from beer I bought here which had expired years ago.
Went back today since I was getting groceries at Harris Teeter, but the seltzer I got tasted stale - just looked at the expiration, it was also expired by several months. Can't recommend this place, even for the convenience of stopping after getting groceries.

The Asian lady behind the counter is so obnoxiously rude its unreal. All of the products in the store are way over priced don't waste your time or money here. She even yelled at my wife for bringing in a candy bar!!!!!

The old lady behind the counter was watching my friend and I as we shopped. Didn’t do that to anyone else in the store. Didn’t greet us when I said hello to her. I said 4 minutes later when we were at the checkout side of the counter. Also, she didn’t try to hand the bag to me. Just left it on the counter closer to her side. I looked at her and then my friend and told them “you was right”. Go elsewhere that actually values you as a diverse customer!

I’m laughing at the other reviews about the mean old Asian lady behind the counter! Let me also say I am Korean. From the moment we walked in she was watching us. I am the most honest person ever and she started in on me. The best part was when she complained that I touched my hair and then touched a bottle! Then she said I needed manners. I’ll be sweet as pie if you’re kind in return. Well I told this lady she was “rude as F” and then she asked for both my ID and my friends. At this point I didn’t know how far she would go, and I wanted my friend to be able to make her purchase, so I complied. I was going to call and complain but if she is part owner, then I would be wasting my time calling. I have NEVER had a more unnerving experience!!!! I guess they don’t care about these reviews. Wow.

The lady behind the counter is disgustingly rude. I have tried to support this store three times and was disrespected every single time. She is not a good business owner. Not sure how she’s still open with her poor customer service skills but all I can do is hope she is out of business soon. Not to mention she is extremely over priced and gets offended if you have your phone out in her store because she’s is afraid you are going to compare prices to other local stores.

Do not waste your time and money at this place. I was accused of taking pictures of the overpriced selection (I wasn't), called a secret shopper for the "other Indian liquor stores" and was insulted many times here by the colorist, racist, paranoid Asian lady/store owner. I have never been so disrespected and felt so uncomfortable at an establishment before. Should've read the reviews before stepping foot in there. Oh and don't bother pulling out your phone to look up what a wine tastes like or texting unless you like being yelled at. And don't go in there if you plan on browsing around for more than 2 minutes. That is all, I wish I could give 0 stars.

I have been coming here all year. I've been a very good customer always addressing the staff as sir/ma'am. I've always had a smile and been very kind and friendly. The ladies are nice and the selection is okay. But the oldest boy in the store is incredibly disrespectful.After my 7th month of coming to this location he has the gall to laugh and joke about my disability when handing him my ID for the thousandth time. Sure, maybe he doesn't know I'm a disabled veteran, but the ID he has looked at a ton of times at 20 seconds a pop clearly states Veteran and he could have some respect for that.The final straw was coming in today and spending 40 in this store, then asking if he can break a 20. With the register wide open, he lies and says he does not have the change to do so, all whilst a stack of 10s and 5s sit right there between us.I've been an excellent customer all year and this dude can't just do me a small favor while receiving a 40 dollar transaction? Totally just a tiny man in his own world. I will not be coming here any more.If you are a self-respecting American who chooses which services to support by voting with your dollars, by all means, support another local business that actually deserves it.

DON’T GO HERE!!!Go to California just across the street!!They had Terrible service and funky attitude. Very judgmental and rude!!!I’m part of a bourbon and whiskey club. We find and buy it all!! Part of it is sharing pics of things we don’t know or haven’t seen.I asked if I could take a picture of a bottle that was right in front of me. I didn’t have to even ask. O’ts was right there. I was being cordial. The owner and cashier not only said no but were rude as heck!Just poor people skills and lack of respect and awareness.They treated me awfully … and I would and could have bought that whole shelf.DONT GO HERE!!They didn’t even have Blanton’s. ????????
