“My experience at Value City un New Carrollton was fantastic. Our sales associate was Anita Jackson, she was a wonderful lady who is very professional, polite, has a good sense of humor with good ideas, also was very respectful and reasonable. Her service was topnotch. I will definitely recommend value city and the sales associate to family. Kudos to you Anita Jackson ans it was nice doing business with you!”

2950 Belcrest Center Dr, Hyattsville“The furniture was amzing, Ive never been to a furniture store like this, and as the staff were amazing they helped us look around and gave us some suggestions on some stuff. The kids loved it! They did not bother us since they were distracted by the food. They had ice cream, candy ,cookies, coffe and water all for free. And the furniture looked great the prices were cheap they didnt do a discount but other than that the it was good.”
“Thomas Charles has a customer for life! He is the epitome of excellence in customer service. When shopping for a couch, we found something we liked but were uncertain about the sectional configuration. Thomas cheerfully rearranged furniture for over an hour with us until we found something we loved. He was an absolute delight to work with. If you’re in the market for any kind of furniture, stopping by Marlo’s and asking for Thomas is a MUST!”
“They have it all. A million comforters, all sorts kitchen stuff. Pot/pans/bowls/glasses. Some toys, women's bags, novelty items, comforters, table linens, quilts, maybe even good 'ole bedspreads. You must check out their back room—rugs, sheets, comforters for great price.”

“It's a great shop for gifts. It's been there for at least 20 years, and their assortment of crafted goods is awesome. I was hoping the owner was there as I used to have a soap shop there.”
“An amazing place to stumble into during a hot girl walk, perfect for finding a unique card for your long-distance best friend in Europe. A HUGEEEEE shoutout to Monique (hope I’m spelling it correctly) for beautifully handwriting my message inside the card”

7000 Carroll Ave D, Takoma Park“I found this business online while on the hunt for a wooden wine holder shaped as a duck for my girlfriend's mother as she had added this to her Christmas wishlist. (Yes, I know it sounds silly). I'm skeptical when it comes to online shopping with the way the world is today but I hoped for the best & ended up purchasing the item. What led me to their site was the fact that the product was way cheaper than the competitors & their shipping timeframe was promising. About a week later, I received the item and it was perfect! Exactly as described, got here quickly, and didn't cost an arm or a leg to do so! Very satisfied customer!”

1280 4th St NE, Washington“I love everything about Nova Bossa. Carolina and her team have selected beautiful items that you can feel really good about. They spark you heart and soul. I bought a ring when I just really needed something pretty and good -- they made the shopping experience so positive and now I have a bit of sparkle in my day. Would recommend in every way if you're looking for that special gift for someone or for yourself.”
10AM - 6PM
6927 Laurel Ave, Takoma Park“This store is GREAT for gifts, surprises, or just some nice finds to have around your home. It's also great for finding puzzles, games, or hobbies to do on your own. They also had quality cards for special occasions, and many unique items - and all for a good value - that really made me appreciate this store. It's a shop that's worth coming by over and over again, whenever I'm in the area to see what finds for sale the owner has managed to pull out of the top hat. And this isn't a second-hand shop.”

332 Domer Ave, Laurel“I am posting this review because I received extraordinary service from employees of this particular store (store # 498), Laurel, Maryland.Ms. Alex Scott went out of her way to help me. She even picked up a heavy rug from my car. She was helpful and pleasant. It left a very good impression of this store on me.I was also helped by two other employees. Unfortunately, I did not ask their names. However, I remember their smile.I saw bad reviews overall for this company. But this particular store has very good reviews. I have first hand experience of it.It is the culture of friendliness and helpfulness that makes this store unique. HomeGoods should learn from this store and make it better nationwide.”
“Great one stop shop for unique home items which may not be available elsewhere. Store is laid out in a logical manner. There is plenty of free parking and the store has many open hours”

1309 5th St NE, Washington“Such a great store! Such cute items! The people working at the store are always friendly! They have the best smelling candles ever and the cutest unique decor items! Online they have excellent gift ideas and are so easy to order from!”
“I purchased several items from this store (3 sofas, dining room furniture, sculptures, and coffee table). I am impressed with the items and quality of everything I purchased. They all are unique and beautiful!! The sales people were nice, professional, and attentive. The manager (William) has always gone above and beyond to help me. There is so many more positive things I could say, but I will say this is the BEST furniture store in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area based on my opinion (even better than the known stores, like Ashley furniture, Bobs etc.). If you visit, you will want everything in it. That’s how nice the items are. I have no regrets and will continue to do business with this store.”
“My mother collects baskets, so naturally I had to stick my head in a store with lots of brightly colored baskets in the window. The place sells subtly of dried hay (mmm!) and it takes a minute or two to decide what to look at first. The owner is friendly but lets you take your time. I wound up buying a woven fan - I forget its country of origin and I will be back for one of the gorgeous and unique bicycle baskets. And a Mother's Day present, of course. Honest. Her birthday isn't THAT far off.”
“I’ve been friends with Doug for about 12 years and Modern Mobler in DC and Kensington are the best stores to shop at for Mid Century Modern Furniture, art, glassware and decor. It’s just like stepping into a Mad Men set.”

1707 14th St NW, Washington“So happy with my new Matelasse Coverlet in the color Dune from Parachute Home! Perfect for my full/queen bedding. The blanket is light-weight.... just light enough to not be too warm and just heavy enough to provide the right amount of luxurious comfort. Thanks to the 14th St DC location. Super helpful staff and always a pleasure to shop there!”
“Kinda felt offended, but not rushed. Unable to receive gift receipt. No restroom. Useful items. Confrontation liability. No music, available carts. Didn't have parking validation.”
“05/27/2024-Ross is the best! I found a great pair of pants, a lunch box, and two doggie toys! Great deals! This is one of my favorite stores to shop at! I love Ross!”

11AM - 7PM
1840 14th St NW, Washington“As this Room and Board was in downtown DC, I did not exist the store to be so large. It occupies all 3 floors of the corner building it occupies and there are many pieces of furniture, rugs, accessories, lamps, etc. I really like the mid- century modern/ contemporary furniture and the textiles (pillows, rugs, linens) are terrific. If you're in the market for this style of furniture or home goods, this is a great stop to make.”
“Got so Many Deals Thanks to Allister for helping bring everything out and making my shopping experience memorable. Very friendly staff and great customer service, even the security staff was friendly”

“Messy. Limited stock. Staff standing around talking, no one at the cutting counter that had a line. A customer complained that the website said they opened at 11. It opened at 12. The manager said "well Im new to the store and don't have control over the Internet."”
“Store will be closing soon so everything is marked down. They still have some good stuff…look for associate “Chap” like stick as he says LolHe’s really cool and helpful.”
