This place was sweet. Tucked away downtown. My Uber driver who was born and raised in Baltimore didn't even know it existed that's how low key it is.

Rooms are nicely sized for a downtown hotel. The staff is kind and attentive including the second floor bar team who were gracious enough to stay open late Saturday evening to accommodate our group of event goes.
Rooms: Large for an older downtown hotel.
Nearby activities: Inner harbor attractions
Food and drinks: Bar and kitchen stayed open late on request. Nashville hot chicken sandwich was very good.

A wonderful place to stay. Everyone was so helpful. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. I hate staying somewhere with a hard bed. Even in downtown Baltimore the room was quiet. We also ate at the hotel. The food was really good. We will definitely stay there again.

Check in was at 4pm, my son and I arrived at 3:50pm and that we needed to wait cause our room wasn’t ready. It was a busy night with the Ravens vs Bills game but while I was waiting I could see people arriving and getting rooms.
I tried asking front desk and I was told I needed to get back in line after waiting 40 minutes for them to let me know if a room had been cleaned.
The room was beautiful and facing the harbor, it’s a shame that for breakfast they only had the little cafe’ which luckily provided great service but didn’t have much.

Large rooms. Older style bathroom without a bathtub , no stand alone shower. Restaurant is barely ever open.
Nearby activities: Close to harbour, restaurants, bars and attractions.
Walkability: Good location with everything within walking distance

Beautiful hotel room and great location right next to down town Baltimore. We were able to walk right to the ravens game. Only problem check in wasn’t available till like 545. That’s a lil annoying.

What a wonderful hidden treasure! The room was beautiful with views of the Inner Harbor. Steps away from the aquarium and fabulous restaurants. This was my birthday getaway and Michelle at the front desk was so welcoming and sweet. I truly enjoyed my stay at The Royal Sonesta Baltimore.

Called to cancel a reservation due to the concert being canceled on the same day I am due to be there. Called four times and the front desk kept hanging up. Stay elsewhere the staff is more respectful and responsive.
The only thing “royal” about this place is how they royally screw hard working people out of their money.

We had our wedding here on 10/5 and am so grateful to the Royal Sonesta staff. My family travelled internationally and we checked in early on that Thursday and also had to shuffle some of the rooms. Michelle (I believe this is her name, she was working front desk computer on the very left on 10/3 and also on 10/6) was SO kind and amazing. She was on top of everything including remembering to hand out welcome bags and she made sure all of my family were on the same floor. My family’s first impression of the hotel was with her and she was the best. Michelle was so sweet and thoughtful, and also super patient as we had to check in many rooms!
Natashia, our coordinator was amazing from the start. She joined the team after we already started planning but there were no issues and she too was on top of everything. The banquet captain and the chef were also amazing - it can’t be easy serving food for 100+ people but everyone loved their meals. Also huge shoutout to bartender Lynette - she made the best cocktails all night. She was the bartender for our after party (also at the hotel) and she made sure random non-wedding guests who tried to get drinks were not served.
Overall we are so thrilled we went with the Royal Sonesta to host our wedding. It made it so convenient for the guests that everything was in one location / one floor, which made our lives easier too. If we had to plan our wedding all over again there is no doubt we would stick with the Royal Sonesta!
