Unprofessional to say the least. The day before my delivery I was told they would arrive at 12pm the following day. I called at 12:33 that next day to get an updated ETA. The man Simcha answered the phone. When I asked for an eta, he didn’t answer me, he stated he needed more money for a stair fee, and possibly more money to transfer my items to another truck. Instead of giving me an eta, he asked if his tractor trailer could make it down my street. I told him yes, I was pretty sure he could, I just had a different delivery truck there the prior day and my neighborhood is very easy to drive in and out of, just a big circle. I also told him my contract included the stair fee. He yelled at me and said no, no, no it does not. He said he can’t deliver my items without me paying him this fee. He also said I spoke to him like I wasn’t sure his truck could get down my road and told me he would have to do find another truck but was having difficulty doing this. He wouldn’t let me speak further, he interrupted me when I tried to speak. I immediately realized that he wasn’t a good man, not honest and hostile. He then said he would be there in an hour and a half. He also texted me a copy of a contract, that showed a $75 stair fee on it, but that it went to the original pick up crew and this was their mistake...An hour and a half go by, and still no delivery. He did not answer my call, just texted saying he would need $75 dollars from me. I squared this away with General Moving, they have it on their contract that this was paid. I vented my fears and frustrations with General Moving and told them that it was like this man was holding up my items for ransom unless he could get more money out of me. And to my surprise, Tina with General Moving told this to Simcha. When I called Simcha again after 4pm to find out if he was still coming he said, “hey, what are you, some kind of drama queen?” I said excuse me? He said, “yea, why are you saying I’m holding your stuff for ransom, are you some kind of drama queen?” I was now even more afraid of this man to be so bold, so rude and hateful towards me. I trusted Tina telling her how I feel and she went ahead and made the hostile situation even more volatile. I tried to further speak to him, he yelled at me, interrupted me and I yelled back, I was trying to be heard. He then said, “who do you think you’re talking to. I have your stuff, I don’t need to be treated this way, I am not obligated to deliver to you and he then hung up on me.” I went ahead and called back Tina, but she wouldn’t speak to me either, she only would via text. I let her know what happened, I was disappointed with her lack of help, and her unprofessionalism in handling the situation. I assumed my belongings were not coming and I was scared. This man could be doing whatever he wants with my items, and he had almost everything I owned. I texted Simcha, desperate just to get my stuff and told him to please, just complete the delivery and get this over with. He texted back, “ 15 miles from you but I am not Deliverying for people that yell at me and put me at risk.” I simply responded, I would not yell at him. (I felt at risk, I was scared). He then replied, (Ok No guns no yelling pls.. my helper cannot make it .,May push it for tomorow). At this point, it was late, after 6pm, I was ready to call it a night. Then I find out he was on his way and they arrived at 7:15pm. They were not really friendly, apologetic or anything. Just went to work, didn’t say much to me, I didn’t say much to them, but I tried to be kind. They were awful, they were unprofessional, rude and hateful men. Never do business with this company.
