Hotel is run down but still holds some of the elegance and grandeur of the past. They will be closing for remodeling soon.
Rooms: Furniture is old but clean
Safety: Felt completely safe

Beautiful hotel with great valet service and very clean rooms. Is it a bit dated? Yes. But that actually gives it some charm. I’m already planning my next stay!
But, the market needs a little work for late night munchies!

Convienent to the Inner Harbor. A little dated and warn but well worth the stay.

Everything felt a bit run down and dingy/dirty.

I recently stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Baltimore, and it was a huge disappointment. This is nothing like other Monaco hotels I’ve experienced. There was no real food available—just a few picked-over bags of chips. The rooms and hallways were dirty and worn out, clearly in need of maintenance. The staff was unfriendly, and the hotel is located in a bad neighborhood, which made the stay feel even more uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel at all. One star.

We arrived in Baltimore super early before check-in at 4 pm. The front desk clerk Pedro was very accommodating and apologized for the inconvenience of needing to leave our bags at the front desk. They have free coffee and a free wine happy hour. The historic hotel is just gorgeous. If you enjoy architecture. This is a sight to see.

Not really sure why this hotel has bad reviews.. this was a beautiful hotel with great service ! Definitely better than I expected ! Spacious room with a great view ! No complaints! Will definitely stay here again! Recently stayed last weekend..Highly recommend! These reviews must have been associated with the Philadelphia kimpton hotel ??♀️

Surprisingly unlike other Kimptons where we have stayed in the past. There was very little service at check-in, none of the dog friendliness we have come to expect, no good place to walk the dog in the vicinity, and no help with baggage. The people at the door worked for a separate parking valet company.
The building is beautiful with an interesting history and the room was spacious. But it seemed like the amenities were an afterthought that they never quite finished thinking about.

A historic beauty! Just wish the room had a microwave and a coffee maker. However, there's a very nice cafe that appears to be open all day. A great stay during my four day trip.
Walkability: Just as couple of blocks away from a grocery market, 7 Eleven, and FedEx.

Front desk always just had one person working. So when there is a line of 10-15 people, it takes forever. Keys didn't work. In the morning, the coffee was empty. Not even worth trying to wait to ask the front desk for more coffee.

We stay at Kimpton Monaco’s Hotels all the time. This one was the worst one we have stayed. There was no one at the front door to greet you. The person checking us in was disorganized and appeared overwhelmed. Went to the room, which was a king suite with a city view. There were no robes, limited towels and the room temp was about 80 degrees. The room had a jacuzzi tub, which had a broken stopper, making it impossible to drain the water. The shower pressure was inadequate. The room number fell off the wall in the hall, which looked like it was glued on many times. They had a microwave in the hall near the elevator which was weird. The B & O Bistro was so so unlike other properties. We booked in advance and the rate we were charged was higher than the online price at the time of stay. Contact IHG to no avail. Will not be going back and do not recommend this location.
