I saw on a couple of the most recent reviews that some are irritated with the hotel open to the general public on their website but later finding out that it's not open to the general public. But I do want to say from my own personal experience that this place is a true God send. It is now used as a women's shelter that goes above and beyond to help you get everything you need help with getting and I mean everything you need to get it for you. I now have a full time job and ready to get promoted to a supervisor. I I was recently approved for rapid re-housing voucher and I go look at 2 two bedroom apartments on Tuesday. Great things are happening for me and I'm starting to enjoy my life, starting to feel like I'm in abetter mood more often, and I'm honestly just sooooooo freaking excited!!!!! They also don't refuse women who have severe mental health issues and they do everything they can to help those women just as much as they help people without mental health is. They treat everyone as an individual and don't look down on any of us or treat ones that need more help than others and treat everyone equal.

THIS IS NOT ACTUALLY A HOTEL, I walked in to get a room and they angrily escorted me out and said "no even though our name is Fairfield inn and suites we're not a hotel."

TLDR: extremely misleading website; leads people to think the hotel is operationalThe website is extremely misleading. I'm getting married this fall and have been planning since the end of the summer at a venue across the street. Periodically, I've been checking the website to see what the rates would be... but they were never updated. In November, I took that to mean that it was too far out from our desired date, so I gave the Marriott reservations line a call. The person I spoke with told me that the rate was OVER $1,000 a night. I since had hoped the rate would drop significantly and found it odd that over a year in advance the price was ridiculously high. Once again, earlier today I checked the website to see no change. I called reservations and at first was told they were sold out for the weekend, then to be told the dates we needed aren't available yet (which is odd considering hotels surrounding it have rates available). I then called the hotel directly only to speak to someone who was rather rude and said that THE HOTEL IS NOW CLOSED INDEFINITELY. The website doesn't reflect that at all. There should be an upfront notice to customers entering the site that it is now closed and to look elsewhere.

This is a lovely place. However it is not an open hotel to the public. It is a temporary shelter for women while they help them find permanent residency. From what I can tell it has helped alot of women get vouchers who have limited income and/ or disabilities. I think it is amazingly gracious of our mayor to provide us this wonderful program. There are other hotels that help families and men as well. I cannot speak on those but for the most part this is a lovely place. Most staff is courtesy and helpful. And we even get meals which is extremely helpful Overall this place is a blessing from God. But it should not still be categorized as a hotel open to the public. I took off a star because of the it's not listed correctly. This is a true blessing though

Booked a room around 2 months ago. I go to check in and find out that the building is being used as a women’s shelter and I received 0 communication that my reservation had been cancelled.

There are other hotels that help families and men as well. I cannot speak on those but for the most part this is a lovely place. Most staff is courtesy and helpful. I only wish our meals where a little bigger. I am thankful to receive meals that is a true blessing. But to be realistic the portions are extremely small. Especially when I know for a fact at least one of the other locations get buffet style meals. I know a family that stays there. Overall this place is a blessing from God. But it should not still be categorized as a hotel open to the public. I took off a star because of the meals, the fact that laundry is always closed and will be indefinitely, and the few negative interactions I have had with some staff. This is just my opinion but if you have a dislike or disinterest in genuinely helping the less fortunate then don't get a job that puts you in direct interaction with us. Not everyone here is the same. We are all here for different reasons. I feel it is unfair to assume we all are the same. Unless you know our personal stories don't judge
