The Baltimore ToolBank has a stellar mission and building capacity throughout Baltimore and beyond. It speaks to my sense of justice and fairness, and the organization inherently builds equity by removing barriers to assets.If you have previously supported any Baltimore-area non-profit in the past either financially or in-kind, chances are the Baltimore ToolBank has probably supported them too. The ToolBank mission is to empower its partners with tools, equipment and expertise. For just pennies on the dollar, organizations can perform more service projects with larger volunteer groups for less money. The reality is as powerful as the concept is simple. Since 2012, the ToolBank has offered an impressive inventory of tools—from shovels and rakes to power drills and generators—to community-based organizations in the region.
