Two stars for hidden fees/inaccurate service quotes.
I got my 1-year-old car safety inspected here, and when I went to pick it up was charged more than 15% above the cost of the estimate I'd approved, for "SS Shop Supplies". The staff was unable to explain what those supplies were, first saying they didn't know, then claiming it was a fee for "disposal of hazardous wastes," then going on to say it covered use of the vehicle lifts, then saying that this was a fee they just added to every service. I asked why, if they always added this fee, it hadn't been included on my initial estimate of the cost of the service. No one had an answer.
I don't mind paying shop fees, but I balk at having a greater than 15% price increase over my original quote for use of materials that I did not approve and no one can explain. I will not be returning here, and I advise anyone who goes to be cautious when receiving estimates for any service.

I recently purchased a certified used Volvo from Volvo Cars Annapolis. Alan Hannon was familiar to me and my husband. He continues to go above and beyond to provide an excellent customer/buyer experience. We additionally worked with Michael Lash, who was also great to work with. Both gentlemen have followed up after the purchase to make sure everything is alright and that I feel comfortable with the vehicle and it’s new to me “bells and whistles.” They have happily answered my questions.

We came to Annapolis Volvo for their inventory. We were looking specifically for a low-milage Certified Pre-Owned V60. A Volvo dealer in Rockville had a pricy one with more extras than we really wanted to pay for. Same story for a Volvo dealer in Northern Virginia. A Mazda dealer in Silver Spring had one but the milage was a bit high for its age and not Volvo Certified Pre-Owned.
Then I saw online that Annapolis Volvo had FIVE Certified Pre-Owned V60s that fit our model year and milage criteria. Clearly, Annapolis Volvo had the inventory we wanted to test drive.
Mike Lash met us (and was gracious about our late arrival—such traffic!) for our test drive appointment. Mike was extremely informative from his own knowledge and when he didn’t personally know an answer he went and found it. We could not think of any question that he did not give us an answer to at our test drive. He didn’t rush us and was willing to spend as much time as we wished with each car. We narrowed our interest and went home that day with two very strong candidates plus a third that wasn’t too bad either. We settled on a V60 Cross Country and returned to make the purchase.
While their inventory brought us to Annapolis Volvo, we were extremely satisfied with the customer experience as well. Both before and after the purchase, Mike Lask continued to be in touch (but didn’t overwhelm us). Mike’s colleague Corey Cross gave us a lengthy tutorial on the car’s driver interface and controls. He was extremely knowledgeable and very good at sharing that knowledge. We also received excellent service a week or so after the sale for something we wanted the programable keys to do and we couldn’t figure out from the manual. Mike and his colleague Alan Hannon got it sorted out, made themselves available as long as needed to be sure we could make the keys work as we desired, and returned the car washed.
I would absolutely return to Annapolis Volvo for another car in the future.

Travel from Delaware to this dealership as I have total trust in their handling of my car service. The entire staff are great, and the job is always done to perfection.

This Annapolis dealership kept my Volvo in their service department for two weeks without offering me a loaner car. They are completely incompetent. Eventually, I was told I needed a replacement starter and starter backup battery. I paid and on my invoice both services were noted as being completed. Two months later, I went to another Volvo dealership for a different issue and I was told my starter backup battery needed to be replaced. I went back to Annapolis and they rudely said “Oh it wasn’t replaced we forgot to take it off your invoice, yes it’s listed as being replaced, but wasn’t and anyway you weren’t charged, so no big deal.” Well, why did they keep my car for two weeks and not do the requested work. Then Volvo Cars Annapolis never notified me that all the work I authorized was not done. I paid what was listed and expected it was all completed. I had no idea the cost of that particular replacement was not in the total. This situation is negligence on their part. Do not waste your time and money at this location. Car repair honesty, competency and accuracy is critical because we trust what these service providers say is done, what if it was my brakes they didn’t replace, but the invoice said they were replaced. There are plenty of competent Volvo dealerships to get your car serviced. Avoid Volvo Cars Annapolis. You never want to put your safety in their hands. When you first go they ask you to do a review before the work is done, that’s always a bad sign and generally fake reviews. Drive a little further to another dealership, it’s worth the effort.
UPDATE: The dealership response is untrue. Volvo Cars Annapolis ignored all my messages requesting they comp the $300 part, fix their mistake and install it. I only heard from Volvo Cars Annapolis after I contacted the Better Business Bureau and during mediation, they offered a discount on a future repair. Why would I use them again after they refused to correct the original issue. This whole situation would have been avoided if Volvo Cars Annapolis was a respectable dealership, they would have immediately acknowledged the mistake and corrected it. Take your Volvo to a place you can trust to do the work listed as paid for on your invoice, that is not Volvo Cars Annapolis.

I'm in the market for a second vehicle and came here as I've owned a Volvo for 20 years. Within seconds of arrival, a guy comes darting out of the showroom to greet us. OK, fine, it's to be expected.
As it was hot out, we went into the showroom to look at the vehicles. We're sitting in the XC40 and I'm about to reach for the door to close it when I'm startled by the receptionist standing creepily next to the rear door. She asks if we've been helped, I said yes and said some white guy already greeted us then go back to looking at the car.
No sooner do we exit the XC40, another salesman comes darting out of an office. I politely say we've been approached already. Move to the XC60 and while in there, another salesman darts out of another office. Growing a little agitated, I again politely decline and say we've been greeted.
Before I get to the S60, the first guy comes out exclaiming that he wants to tell me about the powertrain of the XC40. Read the room, we've already moved on. I just turn around and say that I'm not interested in a plug-in hybrid and I know Volvo quality because I currently own one.
After getting out of the S60, we're approached again by yet another salesman. I think he sensed my agitation because he joked, "it's to be expected in a dealership.". But this was the last straw and we walked out. I can't stand being badgered.
I'll still consider Volvo as an option, but I'll buy elsewhere. I've already had a disastrous experience with this dealer's service dept years ago with my S40 and this experience shows the sales dept is just as shady.

This dealer was recommended to me by a friend. I usually try and avoid dealerships when shopping for vehicles. I decided to give Volvo Annapolis a try since they had a few for sale that I liked.
I had an absolute awesome experience here! They were very understanding with my trade in situation and we worked out a deal. I love my xc90 and they took great care of my pops old 740 wagon! It was running a little rough but now runs like new thanks to them! Great atmosphere and great people.

I had my car serviced at Volvo Annapolis and their team went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. The team was knowledgeable, pricing was fair, and the facility was clean and well maintained. Thank you!

Terrible experience! Dealt with Shawn fenwick in service & it was not what I expected! Confrontational when dealing with a disagreement! We’ve made multiple trips to this dealerships service area & we still can’t seem to get the car fix the right way! I would not recommend this dealership to anybody it’s like they’re selling lemons! Buy at your own risk!

Purchased a pre owned 2023 Palisade today. Austin was great working with me over several week while we were considering our options. The pre owned sales office was smaller and provided a more personal car buying experience than I’m used to. We couldn’t be happier with our new car and with the sales experience that Volvo Annapolis provided us.

5 star experience from start to finish. My Fiancée has been looking to buy her first car for over a year now. We were recommended to Volo Annapolis by a family friend.
During our first visit in late 2023 we met Melissa Angelis. She showed several models and work closely with my fiancée to educate her on the features of each vehicle. However, during that visit we did not select a car.
Leading up to March 2024 Melissa continued to follow up throughout the end of the year and going into 2024. Melissa kept us informed of the branch’s inventory and provided us numbers that fit our budget. Melissa was patient, motivated, and easy to work with. In May 2024 my fiancée made a selection.
I would recommend anyone to go to Volo Annapolis if they are looking to purchase or lease a car. Melissa and the other sales professionals there are excellent.

Awful experience. My tired pressure was off. I called to set an appointment and they said to come in anytime. I came in the next day, didn’t see anyone waiting for their car. Waited for an hour and a half checked with the front desk to see how much longer it’ll be and the told me my service advisor left and would be back soon. I called the number she gave me to check in. No answer. I txt the number too. No response. I waited another hour then asked someone else about my car. He had no idea what was going on, he went and checked and apparently the light just went off because I have 1 different tire. Everything was fine. Nothing needed to be done. I asked if it was safe, he said yes. I asked if the pressure light will say on and he said yes. The guy brought the car around and he’s like “everything is fine. Just needed to reset the tire pressure light.” All that took 2.5 hours in an empty waiting room and a service advisor who left and didn’t communicate with anyone. Back to Volvo white marsh I go.

I bought our XC60 here and now bring it here for its services. It’s a pleasure to come here for service and always chat with Mike Lash & Alan Hannon while my car gets worked on. It starts from the top with Anthony Ferrogine…

I took my S60 to Annapolis Volvo because my sunroof was not functioning. After the service department looked at my vehicle, I was told that a water leak was coming from my windshield and that the sunroof motor was rusted due to this leak. This story did not make sense because my headliner is off-white with no discoloration, and the motor that was not functional was located above the rear seats.
I took my car to Volvo Silver Spring and found out that there was no water leak and that Volvo had published a service bulletin for S60s stating that the rear sunroof motor may stop working due to a software issue. Annapolis Volvo lied and tried to steal thousands of dollars from me rather than checking the service bulletins for my vehicle.
Go to Silver Spring Volvo if you need service.
