My boyfriend bought a ring with multiple small diamonds in it for me as a Christmas gift. Within less than 2 weeks of wearing it one of the diamonds fell out from simple wear. We brought the ring back, thinking they would replace the diamond without hesitation, and they said that we had to pay for the repair. Who makes you pay for a stone replacement after less than 2 weeks of owning it? When we pushed back the salesman was antagonistic with us saying "you guys can't pay this small amount to have it fixed?" Unfortunately, this is just not a respectable jeweler. We have made sure to inform family members who have used royal jewelers in the past.

I purchased a gold and diamond lock and key pendant from Royal Jewelers and was assured I was given a discounted price. However, when I researched the item when I returned home, I learned the same diamond and gold lock and key was being offered at $250.00 less than what Royal Jewelers charged me. When I returned to Royal Jewelers and presented them with the evidence of the price difference, the salesperson simply gave some frivolous excuse as to why the prices were different. This experience with Royal Jewelers has put me on guard and I will not be purchasing any more jewelry from Royal Jewelers. Overall, I'm of the belief that they are overpriced and although it is the goal of a business to make a profit, in doing so, businesses should not engage in price gouging.

I had a great experience with royal Jewelers. The customer service was outstanding. I’d recommend Royal to anyone! My salesperson Hadi was very helpful!

STAY FAR AWAY! FRAUD!!I found a ring at the Royal Jewelers that I loved but not in yellow gold (in white gold). The Annapolis Store Employee Kate told me they had the ring in solid yellow gold at their other location and to come back in 3 days to pick it up. I picked up my yellow gold ring and wore it for 3 weeks... until I started noticing the yellow gold wearing off! I took it to another local reputable jeweler, and he said it was a white gold ring dipped in yellow gold which would eventually entirely wear off. ROYAL JEWELERS INTENTIONALLY SOLD ME A RING NOT SOLID YELLOW GOLD. I decided to check the Columbia Store and see if they really had the ring in yellow gold, they did not. Of course, since this was after 7 days (Royal Jeweler's pointed to sign on counter that stated this) they refused to refund me. AJ (the owner) complained about how much money this would cost THEM to provide me with the CORRECT ring that I ordered but relented and said they would remake the ring in a yellow gold for me for no charge (meanwhile I originally paid $6500 for a 14kt yellow gold ring with 5.25 diamonds). After several weeks I finally received the replacement- WITHIN 24 HOURS a diamond popped out. I brought it back immediately and they fixed the ring. 3 days later again, I noticed two of the small diamonds were missing. I went to the same local reputable jeweler that told me my original ring was not solid gold, and he said diamonds will continue fall out because the beads holding the diamonds in are not big enough. The ring was designed poorly and essentially it's a dud.Royal Jewelers has since dodged my calls and went as far as disconnected the line. I am out $6500. THIS BUSINESS IS A FRAUD.I filed a claim with Better Business Bureau and they tried to contact Royal Jewelers and they also were ignored, therefore, they cannot help to come to a resolution of the problem. I am stuck with a ring I cannot wear unless I pay another jeweler to remake it entirely - I was told this is beyond just fixing.There is a reason they have a 7 day return policy, because you aren't getting what you paid for!

I was looking for a nice men's sterling silver chain for everyday wear. I walked into the Royal Jewelers at the Annapolis Mall and I met salesperson Kate. She showed me a few chains that she had in stock, and I saw one that I liked. After trying it on, I was not sure that it would be long enough because I didn't have on the right shirt. I was going to wait and come back another day to try on the chain, when I had the right shirt on, to make sure that it would be the perfect fit. When Kate told me that I could try the chain out for a week and if I didn't like the length of the chain that I could return it for a longer one or get my money back. After a few days, I did return to the store to exchange the chain for the next size up. Kate at that time told me that the next size up would be almost double the price of the first chain. I then told her that price was too much for me and I just wanted to return the chain and get my money back. Kate then told me that I could not return the chain, but only get a store credit, which she never mention when I first purchased it. Now I am stuck with a chain that is too short. I am very unhappy with my purchase, and my first experience here at Royal Jewelers. I feel like I was taking advantage of, and I will never do business with Royal Jewelers again because they are dishonest to their customers.

If I could give zero stars I would. I went to this store in Annapolis to get my ring that my husband just bought me from another Jewelry store in New York resized an engraved. Royal Jewelers sales associate “Hasan” informed me that it would take 5 days to do. I was told my ring would not leave the store and that everything would be done in house at the store which is why I chose them to service my ring. I was charged $158 which I was glad to pay because 5 days was pretty impressive considering most jewelry stores told me 2-3 weeks. When I came to pick up my ring, it was not there. Hasan stated their jeweler needed to take it home to buff out the engraving because their machine wasn’t working. He told me the Jeweler would be there later in the day to drop it off to the store. That never happened. Not only did my ring leave the store without my permission but I was told the next day that the Jeweler was going to leave it at another Royal Jewelers store at another mall, in Columbia, MD because it was closer to where the jeweler lived. I was asked if I’d be willing to pick it up there or wait until later that evening when it was picked up and brought to Annapolis store location. When I asked why it was going to Columbia and my lack of comfortability with this whole situation he became confrontational, cutting me off while speaking and lacked concern for my ring. Calling it “just a ring” and “it’s only a day late”. I agreed to pick up at Annapolis and when I picked it up my ring it wasn’t engraved with my husband and my initials as requested only the date. When I asked why not he told me there wasn’t enough space. His lack of communication was a major issue. Not only did they not deliver on their promise but failed to communicate to me and seek my acceptance of changes being made.

TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTING, NOT ONLY DID I WAIT 4 HOURS WHEN I HAD AN APPOINTMENT, WAS GIVEN THE WORST QUALITY GOLD LOBSTER CLASP WAS WAY TOO SMALL..HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. LESSON LEARNED.
