“Grabbed this cake from Whole Foods to celebrate my sister's birthday and it was surprisingly delicious!! The icing had this toasted almond buttercream whipped flavor that wasn't too sweet! The vanilla cake was moist, but the berry filling was a bit too sweet. All in all my nephew said this berry cake was a 10/10 lol I would definitely purchase this cake again. The bakers were so nice and friendly and I really appreciated them personalizing my cake for me.”

“THE GOOD-prefer this store over many alternatives for efficient shopping and fair pricing for staples and basics. The staff has always been very helpful and have pleasant attitudes and friendly customer interactions. It would be nice if there were smaller push carts to shop with. Here there are only the gigantic ones offered. THE BAD - The food selection could use some tweaks. Vegetable and fruit selections are limited and uninspired. There is too much floor space and the fixtures don't enhance the merchandise. Many brands offer low salt, reduced fat, options but this store is not on top of it. Recently the direction seems to have changed and not for the good. Half of an aisle of frozen food was turned over to assorted pizza. There is no need for 15 feet of pizza options. There is never anyone who is in the deli capable or willing to custom slice meats or cheese so one must purchase from their limited selection of pre-sliced meats and cheese. God forbid if you want a half or quarter pound of something only packed in 1 lb portions. BOTTOM LINE- what's going on here ? Is it management or corporate that's the issue?”

“The worst good day ever a lot. There's just one gentleman whose name is Mike. He's very rude all the time. I always tried to talk with him. Ask him how his day was, make a joke with him. Ask him if he had a hard day and he looks at you like he's looking right through you. So I'm going to get the surrounding area to sign a paper to see if they've ever had any bad experiences with this gentleman. That's the reputation of your store, your internet. I plus I hope it doesn't turn out to be that bad. But he's very rude to me every single time. I've ever been into that store and I have research with the hours and the dates because I save all of them every time I've gone. He's always been rude very bad for your business. I worked for giant for 10 years. There's a local 400 sheriff road at the giant flower warehouse. I loved it very dedicated. I loved my job.And I know the giant goes by reputations. Good product, good hospitality. It's a shame that you have someone. That's so rude and very racist. I must say. I've observed him and how he reacts to individuals. And it's totally different by color. We are all supposed to be equal. We should all stand by one another to help and be kind.But I do know I will never shop at that store ever again.It's a shame because I live right around the corner. I will go out of my way to go somewhere else.”

“Came here today to get new tires. And took the kids and parents for some sams food while we waited. We each got a meal and a drink and an ice cream for under $22. Total!!! Unbelievable. Tasted great which was also unbelievable.”

“I usually do some shopping here and some out in town. A few things to touch base on that I've noticed.Always check the exp dates, typically I find a few items that are expired, so for someone who is in a rush they may not see it. The vegetables and fruits are usually hit or miss, usually more miss than anything. I've just stopped buying those here and prefer out in town.The baggers are super nice. I've chatted with a few of them as we walk to the car. My biggest concern is that they have to split a portion of their tips with the head bagger. How does that even make sense? What if that head bagger isn't there? He still gets a portion of their tips. Most of those baggers are school aged children who are saving their money. This is 100% absurd and should absolutely be stopped.For the people complaining about self-check out on Mondays, be happy that they're open on Mondays. They weren't always opened. If you don't want to scan your items yourself (and "not get paid for it") then you are more than welcome to go to another store. No one is making you self-check yourself out. That's your decision. Most of us appreciate the commissary just being opened on the day they are were always closed on.”

“Bottom line up front: this place is a clean and well stocked grocery store.I have to admit after reading through a few of the negative comments I see about Safeway I am surprised. I have been going to this particular Safeway since the Shoppers in Annapolis closed over a year ago. Yes sometimes the prices are a little bit more expensive than the other less expensive grocery stores, but it appears that the products are fresh and the prices are reasonable. Let's make one thing clear it's not Wagmans or any specialty store, it is a good old fashion grocery store with an meat market, bakery, and produce department. You won't find many exotic products, but you will find the necessities always seem to be in stock and available. During the Covid crisis part one toilet paper was running low everywhere, this particular Safeway seem to find a way to keep toilet paper in the hands of its value customers. I can understand how some of the employees may not look totally excited to be at work, it is a rough job with limited appreciation from customers and poor pay from corporate America. But let's give them a break they are doing the best they can. Thank them once in awhile, they have gotten us through this pandemic.”
