After hours of research online, I stumbled across Dockside Guest Quarters, and I knew immediately that I had found the perfect place for my wife and I to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The place is somewhat isolated, the grounds are immaculate, and the view out toward the Atlantic is stunning. We enjoyed the sunrises each morning, and then we would go over to the Main House for a wonderful breakfast! We stayed in Room 110 - a simple stand-alone cottage that was absolutely perfect - with an unobstructed view of the water. It was so relaxing watching the tides go in and out and to watch the boats coming into the harbor and going out to the ocean. We also enjoyed watching the waterfowl flying overhead or skimming the water. It was so relaxing! Did I mention the wonderful breakfast? They also have a restaurant on-site and another casual Tiki-type bar area by the harbor - both were fantastic! The staff throughout the length of stay were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend Dockside and would return in a heartbeat.

We spent a few days at dockside guest quarters this past week. What a beautiful place to spend some time. Our room was spacious, comfortable and immaculate. The restaurant served up a delicious dinner with excellent service. The staff was really friendly and made us feel welcome and at home. Phil took us out on a boat tour around the harbor with lots of stories and history of the area. A truly wonderful and relaxing several days. We are already talking about returning for a visit same time next year. Thank you so much for such a fun experience. You have a very special place to call home. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Stayed here recently for a couple of nights during our trip to New England. The location is incredible with great views of the inlet. There’s a lot of space to walk around and enjoy the property. The room we stayed in was comfortable. The main house where they serve breakfast always had coffee available and the breakfast was very good each day.
Rooms: The room was clean and comfortable but nothing to really wow you. The TV was a little small. We didn’t have a little refrigerator or coffee maker. The door that locked is the sliding glass door, not a traditional door. The room still felt safe as the property is not easily accessed and the area seems very safe.

Dockside Guest Quarters was an excellent place to stay during our visit to the York area. The main lodge has a tremendous view of the harbor and is a great place to relax. The home cooked breakfast in the morning was tasty with plenty of options. We'll definitely return when in the area again.

“Our Perfect Maine Stay”
What could be more perfect than a country inn (Not a chain anything!) on its own island one can drive to that is also a fifteen-minute drive to Portsmouth NH, one of the best small cities anywhere. What could be better than to arrive at the Dockside, smell the sea breezes (& the roses, Charlie R), and after unpacking, take a short walk to either their fine restaurant or dock-side bar, for a libation prior to dinner. Perfect.

Lisa and the while Dockside Quaters staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our group had some issues pop up and everyone at the Dockside helped to make things work. The breakfast is great as are the rooms. Great location.

The rooms are amazing and most have an unbelievable view. They were clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the hot items varied from day to day. Breakfast always included fresh fruit, yogurt and granola and an assortment of fresh baked goods. You could sit inside or on the deck or take your food back to your room. There were an assortment of outside games available and bikes to use. On Tuesdays and Thursdays there’s a boat available at the inn that will take you out in the harbor for about an hour and half and it was free with the deal they were now offering and we got a $100 credit to their restaurant on site. Their food was delicious. . The staff were very helpful and constantly checking in to see if there was anything we needed. We have been there 3-4 times and especially love it in the fall.

Excellent, lovely, warm, charming, accomodations, well located in York on the inlet, with stunning views! Our suite with kitchenette was perfectly appointed, comfortable, and exceptionally clean, with an outside deck that offered gorgeous views in all directions. Everyone who works here is kind, helpful, excited to see you and help you. The main check in building at the main inn were beautifully decorated with nostalgic nautical touches that were very special and delightful! Excellent breakfast in the morning...Truly a wonderful inn--we will definitely return for years to come!! Highly recommend to anyone! Location is excellent and close to York Village and Harbor. Both restaurants at this Inn are terrific, with great food, the best service and excellent views and experience . Every moment was very special and memorable!

From the moment we booked our trip, to the moment we left, everyone at dockside was accommodating and cheerful. The views from our rooms were spectacular day and night. Our late night cocktail by the water was relaxing and our morning coffee in the gazebo was peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and everyone raved about the selections. This was our second stay, and definitely not our last!

Amazing! I wish we could have stayed longer. The location was beautiful and the room was perfect. Very comfortable and clean. Service was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back to stay again.

Lovely place! The setting is heavenly, right on the York river and York harbor. The buildings and grounds are beautifully kept. There is a restaurant that serves a very nice bed and breakfast breakfast, good food, good coffee, and does an exceptionally nice dinner, both indoors and outdoors overlooking the harbor. The people are gracious and the right amount of friendly. We had a very nice separate cabin, quiet and peaceful. From what we could tell, the rooms could use a bit of an update, but I would still go back. Really a very lucky last minute find.
