We have tried to shop for an exterior door during the last two weekends at Eldridge's Lumber and they have been closed. The hours on the website includestore hours for both Saturday and Sunday.HoursMonday - Friday 7:00 - 5:00 | Saturday 8:00 - 5:00 | Sunday 9:00 - 3:00Last Sunday, we stopped by the Hardware store and were informed by an employee thatthe store was open until 3. The store was closed.We went a second time today on Saturday and were at the store well in advance of the publishd closing time. We called the Hardware store and were told the store closed at noon and then were told the Lumber store didn't have Saturday hours.I certainly don't plan to make another trip when the store is open. If they can't keep the website updated, they're not going to get any business from me. It's not that difficult.

Great local hardware store owned by a local family. Their prices are decent, they have a good variety of products for just about anything you may need inside or outside your home or business. The building materials are readily available for any home improvement projects you may have and the employees are always friendly and helpful.

Best hardware, tool, lumber and general store for 100 miles! Management friendly, available, employees engage easily with customers, quickly recognizing when to offer help when they notice customer looking closely at in one area, not finding what they’re looking for. Not short staffed! Easy to find assistance. Fantastic variety of quality stock, well displayed.

I have been a customer for years at Eldredge Lumber And Hardware in York and have always felt the level of personal service they provide Is remarkable. It doesn't matter the cost of the the item the individual attention is the same even when you are only trying to figure out the right light bulb for a 25 year old light fixture. My most recent experience was with Hope, the Eldredge Stain And Paint Specialist. I was in the midst of a real catastrophe with my mahogany front door. She came out twice to my home and provided stain samples and worked out a solution for my contractor. Her level of knowledge and her willingness to provide this service was Outstanding. Another great experienc at Eldredge!

Stock of PVC fittings are a hit or miss. Common 2 inch Sch40 45 degree not in stock. I'm a contractor and working in the area. Now I have to go somewhere else and hope I can find one. Can't depend on Eldridge to manage their inventory.

DO NOT WORK HERE IF YOU'RE IN A POSITION WHERE YOU WILL NEED TO DEAL WITH HR. The head of the Human Resource dept is a cruel person who people are afraid of and the company just let's it go. She can't keep an employee. Even lawyers know who this person is by bringing up this company name. Temp agencies won't send people there because of how bad this woman is. Her name is Ella and someone like her should NEVER BE IN CHARGE OF A POSITION LIKE HUMAN RESOURCES. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.
