I've been renting a storage unit here for over a decade now. I like that I can get to my belongings any time day or night and even though it's not gated it is all lit up with cameras all over and not to mention its surrounded by respected businesses so I've never worried about any mishaps. Also, when I was looking for storage units at the beginning, Sebago Storage had better prices than most others.

You can never get ahold of the Manager to pay the unit. I wouldn't recommend it at all. Worst experience by far.

Unfortunately my family's experience was horrible. I was totally disregarded while speaking to the Manager (Kate) and while telling her the situation she hung up on me. I was very polite and professional. People go through hard times and are late on paying bills, It happens. But when calling her to make a payment she was never there, she would never call my family back and the one time she did she wouldn't take a payment over the phone . Then she goes on vacation for 2 weeks, so we couldn't pay the bill. When my family finally gets her on the phone to let her know we were coming to pay in full and empty the unit she wouldn't except it and closed the account. I am pretty sure she needs to send a certified letter to let us know that she closed it and we did not receive one. Also, I believe and I could be wrong that the unit has to be in default 90 days before it goes to auction. Kate also said some alarming things like "Some of your stuff has already been sold and your personal effects will be burned", (personal effects like photos and birth certificates and these items are suppose to be returned to the leasee of the unit). Now, she shouldn't even be going through the unit. She should be putting two locks on the unit and waiting for the auction. So I asked her, when will you be having the auction? Her reply was "We are not having one, your family's belongings will be thrown away"!!! I kept my cool during this conversation and tried to explain how important this stuff was. My grandparents passed away last year and their things were in there and apologized for the late payment and told her that due to the deaths my family was torn and grieving and communication was not good and that's why the payment was late. I said we would pay extra on top of the late fee and amount owed. She said that the facility will not do business with my family and we all have been rude to her and we are harassing her. I recorded the phone conversation. I am so glad I did. Now we are going to consult with an attorney to see if we have a chance of getting our stuff back. I don't recommend this place to anyone. I was treated poorly, in the contract all it says is you will be charged a late fee. Its should say : We take your things if your late 15days or more and throw away the rest. I believe that they are thieves and stole our stuff because it was expensive items. I know that they do not practice Maine state storage unit law's because if they did then this wouldn't be happening.

They sent a bill and receipts every month to my email. Very easy to contact them over email also. And they have a direct debit option. Overall very friendly and easy experience. Recommend to anyone who wants a low maintenance storage experience.

I have to agree with the other Review... They do not answer the phone. They also Do Not Return your call!
