“Was coming home from a great vacation in Maine and headed back to Ohio. Had a flat, figured we picked up some road debris. It was not debris. Both rear tires were worn real bad on insides (alignment issue)(were new tires with only 12,000 miles on them). Stopped at a couple of shops, no one had our size. Stopped at Don Foshays, and they did not have our size either, but Randy, the manager, told us to go to Tire Warehouse that they usually have some sizes like our Explorer had 255/50/20. Thankfully, Tire Warehouse did have our size, but unfortunately, they were completely booked up for that day with customers. The manager there suggested she could sell the tires to us if Don Foshays could put them on for us. So we called Randy, and after verifying, the front tires were within the tolerance to just install 2 new tires (all wheel drive vehicle) that he said yes we can install them for you to get you back home to Ohio. Got us, right in and all fixed up. Two competitor's tire shops worked together to get us fixed up and back to Ohio. I am forever grateful. Definitely give this business your business.”

Some history: My husband and I used Portland Glass to mirror 2 walls in small rooms in our beautiful 1907 Portland apartment renovation. They did an absolutely FLAWLESS job and made our rooms look TWICE the size and twice as bright :-) True perfectionists, the wonderful installer refused to leave until everything was absolutely impeccably aligned.
This brings me to today's adventure… We're just back from 2 weeks in Colorado at our son's wedding, and we're lucky enough to have a dear friend who lives on a magnificent island, who was happy to keep our delightful husky at "summer camp" in our absence. She was reported to have been as perfect as promised... with one exception: having been left at home during a short dinner party, closed in the house and getting a little bit anxious, she exited through a screen door ? Her very chill host made no big deal about it, but mentioned that she had left the screen at Portland Glass for repair. It would be repaired within two weeks. Since we were driving through Brunswick to pick Ember up, I called and got Renee on the phone who put me on hold while she went to see if there was any possibility of expediting the repair. Within a minute she was back saying that we could pick it up in an hour ? Not only did they do a perfect job, but everyone I met was an absolute delight :-) I looked like a hero meeting our friend at the dock to retrieve Ember, repaired screen in hand!!

“Went to Prompto Oil Change in Brunswick on 5 July 2024. Awesome experience. The 3 workers I interacted with were courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. Changed oil quickly, then reset the dashboard reminder on my 16 year old pick-up! Will definately come back again!”

“Low tire pressure light on...slow leak. Have to add air every day. Call around to various chain tire shops..."well, maybe we can make an appointment for a week from now, and you'll have to leave the car all day." Someone tells me about Cahill, I call, they say sure, come anytime. The tire is fixed and I'm on my way in less than 20 minutes. I was honestly impressed. Certainly the most efficient tire repair operation I've seen in the US. You pull up in front, they jack up the car, remove the wheel, find the problem, fix it, and then put the tire back on. Bang, bang, bang. No pretense, no wasted effort. If you've got a flat near Bath, don't waste your time going anywhere else.”
“We were on vacation and our car started to have engine issues. After calling a few places, Neil was the only place that could even possibly get to that week. After dropping my car off, they made no guarantees but would try to get to it that week but did say they would try their best. Luckily they were able to fix it the next day. Neils was in contact the whole time and called for approval of the repair. Very happy overall and grateful for their help in a very frustrating situation.”

We hit a deer over an hour from home. The tow company spoke very highly of him and the shops my insurance recommended were either 3 months out or wouldn’t help me because my car was not drivable and they didn’t have room on their lot. He got my car on 11/22/23 and I got it back 12/15/23. Just a great guy, great shop, great service.”

“Bought a great BMW in cash back in September 2022, but there was an issue with the paperwork, so I didn’t officially own it until June 2023 (8 months after purchase). Felt like I was given the run around but in the end Andrew gave true to his word and I ended up with a great vehicle. I’ve already put on 42k miles and I’ve never had any engine issues. Every European auto shop I visit agrees it’s a great engine. Great purchase from Skelton’s, he knows exactly how to choose which cars to sell.

“My car broke down on our way home to Brooklyn, NY from Boothbay Harbor on a Sunday. We were able to get to VIP in Bath and both of the guys there (both were named Chris) diagnosed the car, had the parts and worked on our car so we could be on our way home. They were so kind and understanding of our situation and were incredibly professional and well versed in the problem with my car. So incredibly satisfied with the work they did I would highly recommend them, and already have to my friends in Maine.”

“Darlings were fantastic. Through no fault of them, this was an overall worst buying experience of my life. Ford failed to deliver the vehicle I had chosen and had a deposit on. We have no idea where it went, but it showed up three weeks late. Darlings tried a dealer swap with a Massachusetts dealer, but they refused the swap because of some tree sap in the vehicle Darlings had brought for trade. Darlings then bought a vehicle from a New York dealer and brought it to Maine. They worked well above anything I would have hoped for. As it turns out, I like the vehicle they got in New York better than the original vehicle. Darlings did me a tremendous favor and worked exceptionally hard to get me a vehicle. They drove hundreds of miles and three man days of work. I would very highly recommend Darlings. THANKS!”
