We had an exceptional stay at the Marginal Way House in Ogunquit! We started our honeymoon there and it was like we landed in a movie about a sleepy beach town. Everything was beautiful and the building was stunning! We could enjoy coffee on our porch and watch the tide come in!
The location is unbeatable, right on the water with stunning views. Walking the Marginal Way to Perkins Cove was a daily highlight. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We can't wait to return!

Been coming here for 30 years. It's always clean, views are awesome, staff are great. All the rooms have been tastefully redone in the past few years styled in a shady sheik design.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Our room, 106, was once the breakfast room (another guest told us), so was a little odd, but very comfortable and extremely clean. The view from the porch is fantastic.

Stayed here in the Dock House several times and it's such a treat watching the tide going out and coming in right out the window and under our balcony, a perfect spot to sit and breathe in the sea air while enjoying the view (from the balcony or the bed!). The rooms in the Dock House are so cozy, comfortable beds, gorgeous bathroom, and easy to use heat and A/C. Very short walk to Shore Road and Main Street, and the bridge to the beach. All I can think of to make it better is a remote control to open the blinds first thing in the morning. ;) A gem of a place!
Rooms: Beautiful rooms full of beach cottage charm, and impeccably clean.
Nearby activities: Everything is nearby and a short walk.
Walkability: Short walk to everything in Ogunquit, a perfect spot to stay.
Noteworthy details: My favorite part is watching the tide coming in and going out right under our balcony. Wonderful spot to stay at the beach.

Lovely motel. Right near the beach. Decor was perfect for beach holiday, whites and blues. Complimentary coffee in the morning. All the amenities in the room. Very clean. Comfortable bathroom and bed. Walking distance to restaurants and bars.

Location location location! This place is right in the center of bustling Ogunquit, with a quick walk to the beach and shops, coffee, restaurants. We did not use our car even once. However, if you're like me, and you want a full vacation experience and hotel with a lobby and some amenities, with a pool, private balcony, a room with a beach view, and a fun experience hanging out in the room on a rainy day, or relaxing at night with wine and cheese, just know this is a simple little place and not all rooms are spacious and have views - you will have to make sure you reserve one of the larger rooms with a view. And the hotel is all about location, not frills.We made our plans late and got a garden level room, which was clean and had a comfortable bed, but, well, it's a garden level room with no view, facing a parking lot, with ultra low ceilings and was kind of cramped. Still, it had a nicely redone newer bathroom and shower, a functional air conditioner and it was convenient that there was a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven (for slices) and a sink for dishes etc so you don't have to fill up your coffee maker with water from the bathroom sink lol! We got lucky and had beautiful beach weather for every day of our stay so we just used the room to shower and sleep and spent time at the beach, walking Marginal Way, exploring Perkins Cove, shopping, trying different restaurants and having ice cream at night on one of the many public benches for people watching.This hotel does have a pretty lawn with some tables and chairs for all guests to use and that was nice in the morning with coffee. But if you reserve and get a garden level room, I wouldn't recommend that in the off season, or if you are unlucky and get rainy weather.

This is a must stop location if you are in the Ogunquit area. Especially around Halloween the town has some great Halloween decorations.

Absolutely splendid! Lovely property, fabulous location, close to beach and downtown. Interiors are finished to a high standard, rooms are extremely clean and the staff is friendly and very helpful!

Marginal Way House has the BEST lawn to sit and enjoy the view, right next to the footpath and off the main road (not noisy like other yard views). This was a last-minute, week-before booking and the staff was polite and I appreciated that they had contact-less check in. The room was cozy for my partner and I, the tiled bathroom and waterfall shower were a fantastic surprise!! I've stayed here before but on the ground floor (with the best view) - and this stay's room and experience were equally amazing.
