Absolutely not one thing out of place. Very well kept historical inn. Absolutely beautiful. Wonderful breakfast and accommodations. Within walking distance from a quaint little town. Everything you need.

On a two day July weekend, the main inn was practically deserted. It is much too high priced for the quality. Yes, the building itself appears well preserved on the outside and has lovely Victorian furnishings in public spaces. The staff was friendly but not always around. The owners are a no-show and live elsewhere.
For $329 in the largest suite I do not expect fake flowers. I expect the mattress should have a mattress cover, not a thin sheet directly on the mattress. The room was very clean and had adequate towels and nice bathrobes, the only expensive touch I saw. There isn’t a box of tissues, and there's one wastebasket for 3 rooms. Just not the luxury I expected for the price. The upholstered chair was tattered. The shower must be 1920’s fixtures, with a shower that dumps directly on your head and not room to move away; the interesting curving pipes which might deliver shower laterally were blocked off. Inadequate electrical outlets for our needs, and curiously, a plug-in flashlight blocking one outlet with a “do not unplug” sign on it. Original tile in the bathroom shows mended holes from previous fixtures, and drains were corroded The bathroom is in need of serious update.
We ate breakfast there only one day; we didn’t get choices. Orange juice tasted like canned. Omelet with cheese was tasteless. Bagel on the side was the tiny size, oh, and just one half a bagel. Hash was canned. Out of 10 tables, 3 were occupied on a busy July weekend.
The flower garden in front has some lovely Oriental lillies blooming, but was untended and weedy. Just not a first class place: needs upgrading in many spots.
Do not recommend!
Nearby activities: Loved our Moose hunt trip and steamboat trip up the lake.Neither organized by this Inn.

Perfect view of the mountains. Beautiful!!! Road is a bit hard to find...but when you're given the wrong directions by someone else, it usually is. Once we had the correct directions, we drove slowly and found the right Rd.
The food was a dream! My hubby especially loved the steak tips and the Mac and cheese. He can't stop talking bout the Mac and cheese. We'd love the recipe if it isn't too much to ask. Me? I loved everything! I ate too much, but it was worth it. Simply Delicious!!! My sister-in-law loved the eggs with ham we had for breakfast and the cheesecake.
We stayed in the red bldg down the Rd. Kinda rustic but perfect accomodations for our needs. And...the eclipse was beautiful from there.
We had a wonderful time and someday we'll be back. Can't wait!

My husband and I spent Christmas at the Greenville Inn and it was one of the best hospitality experiences we've ever had. I have to give a shout-out to the innkeeper Catherine! She was an absolutely extraordinary host. She was so kind, helpful and cheerful. She made our stay so wonderful. The building, grounds and view are gorgeous, but it was the food and the service that really wowed us. We will be back, and I hope Catherine will still be working there--owners, please pay her well and ensure you retain her!!

We were a little road weary and this inn was a soothing, uplifting balm. The staff was fantastic; kind, couteous, informative, and looked out for us to be as comfortable as we could be.

This is the closest you are ever going to get to the feel of the Victorian grand hotels of yesterday, great food and attention to detail, high recommendations.

My friend and I are staying here now. There was a little confusion about which cottage we were in when we got here but they had actually given us a free upgrade at no cost! The owners are very responsive to texts and super friendly. I am looking forward to the rest of our stay and celebrating our 30th birthdays together!!

We had a very nice stay. The historic home is charming. Coffee, tea, cookies and self-serve bar are available round the clock. We opted for the Lumber Baron room because the forecast led us to believe we would be in the room most of the visit. We also wanted the option to have our own sitting room away from other guests if we wished. This worked out well. The bed was very comfortable! I felt like Cinderella. The shower, however, was tight even for me. My partner had it even worse. He is 6’2 and 225lbs.Breakfast is served between specific hours. One morning, the manager surprised me with the most delicious meal due to my dietary restrictions.Speaking of the manager, she’s fantastic and a great hostess.Regarding options, we had booked the cruise but were notified due to weather the excursion was cancelled. We were offered the Wilderness tour. We agreed. It basically consisted of a 3 hour truck drive. Captain Paul was sweet and informative, but we saw no animals and the tour was of a limited area. I was shocked to see the cost at checkout; not worth the cost for what it was. We understand there were guarantees but would have expected more for the cost.Overall, we would stay here again and feel you’ll have a nice stay if you book here.

Rented a room where the fireplace didn't work. The food options and bar were far below average. My advice - stay somewhere else. They don't even respond to your concerns. Our room was very small and the bathroom had a novice renovation.

This is a wonderful inn, off the main drag so it is quiet and private, but only a short walk to the middle of Greenville. We stayed in a suite at the back of the inn; two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms plus a living room, very comfortable with dear friends. The breakfasts were great and there is always coffee, tea and cookies available to fill your tank. Friendly staff, a lovely place to stay.
