10 years ago, I was in the final semester of law school. I was getting fee after fee on my inactive Bank of America checking account. I finally called BOFA to inquire how to close the account. They said the only way was to go to the branch you opened the account and close it in person,. Ok. I went to my hometown branch the day after Thanksgiving. No, you have to talk to a manager to close it. Alright, that shouldn't take long. Well, I was in line with a bunch of people trying to discuss a mortgage. After two hours, the bank was about to close, and my issue was unresolved. I skipped ahead in line and insisted they deal with this issue. They did, but the manager had a gleeful smirk across her face. I knew her through a friend in town. Anyway, they did close the account, with some chump change to walk with, but it left a very sour taste in my mouth ever to open another checking account with Bank of America. Never again.

I have recently filed a claim and the credit card service over the phone gave to the run around and denied the claim to the transaction I never received. However, I explained the situation Ms Night, the financial advisor in the Brunswick branch. She listened to details and acted promptly and decisively to help me resolving the issue. I don’t know how the outcome would be yet, but she is a great advocate for the client and I am very impressed.

Sat in the Brunswick Maine branch for 20 minutes, never even acknowledged our presence. Certainly helped us make the choice to move .

Reading these reviews were quite concerning but I visited this BoA today to exchange currency and everyone there was very nice and accommodating!

This bank will not stop sending the previous owner of my home offers. They were sending what looked like statements for years and I had to literally bring the statement down to the bank and tell them to stop, & it still took another year. Clearly now they’re just credit card offers, we all get them. The Bank of America sends them to me as well at this address, but still sends stuff to the former owner here. It just makes them the most unintelligent bank I’ve ever heard of. Nobody else is sending stuff like that here. Just Bank of America. The response is just as unintelligent. My name is clearly Justin. They sent me information to stop emails. This review is clearly about them sending paper mail including somebody else is bank statements. This person hasn’t lived at this address for nearly 10 years. There is no acceptable excuse.

I see why they have a 2.2 star rating. I HSVE been with this bank 3 years and this is my first time in there since opening the account and Vanessa should not be working with the public. Rude, short, and did not care to help with any of my questions. Switching banks.

Terrible Customer Service. Not only did they try to turn me away at the door. They closed my account for withdrawing my own funds. Their reason is this "You used Zelle" a third party app that bank of america themselves promote all over their website/mobile app... I called about 20 times to only get hung up on or to get transferred to absolutely nowhere. Once a fax numher, second a disconnect, third another hang up. I Do NOT recommended this bank or this branch. The staff there are miserable an rude.

Great experience to open account here, for a foreigner. Will return for other businesses.

Teller was extremely condescending to everyone she worked with. Also regularly looked off over their shoulder into the distance and refused to give more than short, curt answers to questions rather than actually explaining anything.

I live an hour away from the nearest BOA, which is this one. So a total of 2 hrs of driving on a Saturday morning...If someone could actually answer the phone, before I drive there, so it’s not a waste of time !40 minutes and 8 calls, nothing. It opens at 9am, it’s 9:40am now, so I know you just don’t bother to answer the phone. Because you are not overrun at the point of unlocking your door. It’s just pure ignore mode.

I tried to go in and get quarters. I was told to wait for another teller as the first one was out of quarters. After 30 minutes of waiting I realized they forgot about me and had to get back in line again just get to the front and then wait for them to go and fetch the quarters after I came around the second time. I don't mind waiting my turn but being made to wait over half an hour for someone to walk to across a room and get quarters is bad service. I'll be going elsewhere in the future

Horrible customer service. Went in to transfer funds with an appointment only for the money to be sent back to me and I was never informed or contacted. Now I have to wait for a check in the mail. They do not communicate with their customers. And they can never help when you call you always need an appointment.

Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. All three of the people with whom I spoke at the Brunswick Bank of America seemed to genuinely care about my business, although I am far from the biggest fish in their pond. Many thanks!

First you close Yarmouth Maine. Then you closed Falmouth Maine. Then you close Brunswick. We're beginning to think you don't want us as customers any longer.

The Bank of America in Brunswick, Maine has been closed for several weeks. Finding a bank that is open has been difficult not impossible.
