I’m in awe every time I visit this store, antique treasures galore! I always have to make sure to plan ample time to look around. So many beautiful items, big and small, all displayed perfectly. I’m always excited to see what’s arrived from across the ocean and feel like a kid in a candy shop @The Art of Antiquing. Not only is the store packed with wonderful quality antique treasures, the women who work there are so knowledgeable and amazing!

This amazing shop features a stunning collection of hand-picked European antique furniture pieces, accessories and decorative items which you will never see anywhere else. The pleasant, knowledgeable staff adds to the ambiance and the exceptional inventory will transport you to another time and place. Add it to your list of “must see” Maine treasures!

In my experience, this is the finest antiques shop in Maine. Although we are only summer residents, who make regular pilgrimages to see what Margaret, Niki, and company have found. To date, our finds have included a fantastic Biedermeier sofa in a rare silk upholstery, a raft of pillows in period textiles from the UK (a REAL bargain, by the way), and a few lamps and very special works of art. Follow your eye, and let The Art of Antiquing be your guide. (Plus, you can stop in for coffee and the general store while you're in the village!)

The shop is one of the best i have ever been in, in the north east! It was like walking back in time and the feel of the store makes you feel like you have been transported back in time. The selection is like none that I have seen in a long time. I found the most amazing items. One being this coat tree which fit the niche perfectly. You will find something to take home.
