UNETHICAL! Beware if you are divorcing!! After having my legal divorce judgment that I am able to claim my daughter as a dependent, corresponding tax credits, etc, she went ahead without notifying me that she was giving my ex full deduction to my daughter, robbing me of my rights to claim her (despite having BOTH info for filing with a divorce pending). This cost me extreme costs to amend returns, cost me every child tax credit owed to me by the court, etc. She never once asked to see proof despite having no problem filing my ex’s taxes ahead of mine with Married Filing Separate. When I asked her about it, I never received a reply, nor any courtesy call. When it was pointed out they violated my custody agreement, she would not even take my call, letting her assistant to do her bidding. Taxes were filed ON tax day with all this mess and not telling me until after she had e-filed my return, screwing me out of my legal rights. AVOID Tashia Hines AT ALL COSTS. Other local CPAs told me that was very unethical. I am STILL battling the IRS and have had to incur additional tax prep costs and hire a tax attorney to clear this because she would not do her due diligence.
