I've got to try my best not to ever come into this store again. Both me and my son been treated badly more than a few times by the unhelpful, bad attitude, and rude workers at this particular Dollar General store. Yesterday evening I check out several items and I'm not use to using my card as my son does it for me. I'm an elderly lady with mental and physical conditions. I didn't right away see how to slide the card and so I was looking closely at the mechanism you use to slide the card. And I hear this gigantic burst of laughter come out of the check out girl. I asked her if she laughed at me and she of course says no. I told her it wasn't nice to laugh at people and she further lies and says she laughs at the person who just got in line. He wasn't there at the time of the laugh. I gave her a few more words of a piece of my mind and she starts to practically yells at me over and over again that she didn't laugh at me. So should I give her the benefit of the doubt when I know in my heart it was pretty obvious she laughed at me. I wonder why all my life I get frequent bad treatment by service workers. It hurts me emotionally. It would be nice if all these places had better policies about the proper way to treat customers.

This store has a better selection than the other $Generals in this area. The merchandising is pretty decent, the personnel is friendly, my only complaint is there is always big pallets of merchandise blocking the aisles. Other than that this is still the neatest store around here.

Horrible set up when they make it mandatory for you to use the self check out if paying by card Apparently it's cash only by the register for someone to check you out I try to avoid self check out whenever I can fortunately I do not have to shop at this Dollar General

This store is so terrible I hate to even waste my time writing a review because all you have to do is walk in the door and see the cashier playing on his phone rather than doing anything else that needs to be done. The inventory is in such amazing disarray that it would probably be better if a small tornado went down up and down Every aisle and rearrange things. Most of the time the people working there are so rude and certainly don't ask for help because they are far to busy overseeing the junked up place to answer even the simplest of questions. As a matter of fact if you do summon the courage to ask a question they look at you like you're speaking some alien language. Even though it's several miles further to drive... I would encourage everyone to go down Jefferson highway to the Harahan Dollar General it's located in the colonial Square shopping Center. It is so much better... So organized... And I've never been treated rudely there. I'm sorry to have to share this because I usually try to give them the benefit of the doubt. But I'm really afraid this store is beyond help. They change managers it seems like every week but they keep getting the same results.
