We just left the Royal Orleans after a holiday satay Christmas Eve and Christmas. We were visiting family and chose the Omni as our spot. It is absolutely lovely and classy. It was decorated so beautifully. We went to the Rib Room bar and it was all delicious and bartenders were very nice. There was just a very festive feel to the whole stay. We had a balcony room. Love Love the balcony. The hotel is older so it isn’t going to be a slick modern feel and we love that. They use Neat bath products which is a great choice! Valet parking attendants were so super friendly and nice to us. We got our car quickly every time! The crown jewel of the Omni is Yates. Julie’s friendly voice makes you feel at home! Can’t wait to stay again!!

Nice place, rooms could be updated. Took a long time to get hot water. Bathroom fixtures worked but handles to sink and toilet were a little iffy. Location is amazing, walking distance to wwII museum, and nice restaurant next door. There was no porter and our room wasn’t ready so we had to stash our stuff in the lobby for a few hours before loading on a luggage cart to bring to our room. The cart had low pressure tires so it was extremely hard to move and the room was far away from lobby.

I have stayed in numerous Omni Hotels and always thought they were luxurious. This time around not so much, the hotel itself is beautiful, but the room not so much. It was so loud I had a hard time sleeping and the smell of weed was unbearable. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against smelling a little weed, but all the time and in my hotel room. It was so bad it woke me up in the morning. They really need to have a no smoking area. The bathroom was so tiny, I hit myself on the sink trying to get to the tub and barely had room on the toilet because of the sink. The staff is very nice, I had food poisoning and the lady working the desk let me check in early and was very sweet. All in all it's a nice place but the room the noise and the weed smell was not worth $349 per night. Oh and food service is not from the restaurant but from the snack place downstairs, not bad but would prefer nice food. I personally would not stay here in the future, not for the price.

If you are visiting the quarter in New Orleans, I highly recommend this hotel! All of the staff is friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. The location is perfect! Bourbon street, Jackson square, and the river walk are all a quick walk away. The hotel ambiance is very classy and beautiful. We loved our room with the balcony, the roof top views, and the piano player and singer in the lobby. The food at the restaurant was amazing as well! 10/10 would recommend. We will be back!Rooms: Room with the balcony was comfortable and clean.Walkability: Walking distance to everythingFood & drinks: Food and drinks were great!Noteworthy details: The staff was amazing!

This hotel is ridiculously wonderful. Staff is attentive and kind. The room is gorgeous. My only issue is I can't control the temp to deal with my hot flashes. Can not get it cool enough. The historic value alone blows my mind. Ask the concierge for a tour.Rooms: This room is like a dream! It is elegant and practical. Decadent even. Comfortable furniture. High end details. Everything works.Walkability: While not handicap accessible, which creates challenges, once you get outside you couldn't ask for a better location. It feels like every thing is in walking distance.

The hotel has an old musty smell like wet carpet. It's an old building, the rooms are really small with low ceilings, if you're tall you won't be e able to stand up at all in the bathroom. The shower had rusty areas...very low lighting. The staff was amazing and when I requested Tylenol they brought it to my room quickly. The hotel is also in the middle of everything (French quarter, Bourbon Street- easy walking distance.

Location, location, location. Perfect location in the center of the French Quarter, close to everything. Brennan's half a block away. Super friendly staff. who really aim to please and will remember you. Sitting outside on the balcony of a balcony room. in the warm air, listening to live jazz music playing on the street and the clip clop of horse-drawn carriages is just magical and captures the spirit of the Big Easy. Short 2-block walk to Bourbon Street if you want, but that's far enough that you don't hear the noise and craziness. Powerful a/c so the room is cool even on the hottest days we just had. It's decently-maintained for an older, legendary hotel, even if a few spots seem a bit worn. Room was clean, linens crisp. service on point.Safety: Area around the hotel is safe. Police Station 1 block away on Royal.Walkability: Very walkable to everywhere worth going.Food & drinks: Rib Room is famous and very-reliable.Noteworthy details: Location was center of New Orleans society for many years. Once considered the best hotel in the US.

Thank he hotel is lovely and the staff were all very attentive and knowledgeable. The breakfast at the Rib Room was very good and the bar had every choice we asked for. The location was perfect for us. I gave the rooms a 4 because they are looking a bit tired and the bathroom although clean was in need of a facelift. We had rooms with a balcony which were fun sitting there in the morning and having coffee. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

We came to New Orleans for an extended weekend getaway. I've stayed at the Omni years ago and so we booked this for our stay. The hotel itself, accommodations, amenities and customer service are all top notch. We had an early flight and I was expecting to just have them hold our luggage before check in but we were able to get into our room early AM. We had a very nice room on the seventh floor, pool level. The rooftop pool is amazing. The 360 degree views of New Orleans plus a pool with bar and plenty of lounge chairs. This is definitely a wonderful place to stay if you want to be in the mix of all the French Quarter experience.Rooms: The rooms are spacious, have a comfortable bed and soothing decor.Nearby activities: The French Quarter has so many great activities. There are too many to list. Whatever your interest you find it here.Walkability: The hotel is located in the heart of the French Quarter. You can walk to restaurants, bars, tour pickups and all the major tourist attractions.

Expected a little more staying at this location. Bathroom was extremely small, our white drapes had a couple stains and a rip in it. Wifi was $10 extra, paid it but then realized we could get it for free if we became members, so did that. Parking was almost $50 per day.Service was great, bed was comfy and the shower had really good pressure. Got upgraded to a king bed which was great. Location is perfect and safe

Love staying at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel!! Loved that it was right in the French Quarter. We loved the old fashion feel of the hotel. Beautiful inside and out! We had a room with a balcony and it was so nice to sit out there and listen to the city. The staff were always so friendly and kind. Always remembered us when we came back to the hotel and on our last night enjoyed a lovely dinner in the Rib room. The food was amazing and our waiter was so kind and patient with us. Highly recommend this hotel and if I ever go back I’m staying here every time!!

RUN RUN RUN looks can be deceiving. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. Most of the staff was super nice and helpful but that's where all the good things stop. The room itself was a nice size (premier king) but there was nothing premier about it. The bathroom was like a coat closet it was so small and DATED for the amount of money I paid. The tub was disgusting and the bathroom didn't have proper ventilation. The water in my shower was lukewarm I called down and no one came to fix it our entire stay. The air conditioning in the hotel is mediocre the elevators have no air so it's like a tiny cramped sweat box. The hallways are almost always hot and the air in my room never got as cool as I would've preferred. The market sells expired food, I went to grab a drink and it expired in MARCH we are in August another drink expired in early July. The chips I purchased but didn't notice until I had gotten to the airport expired in July. Overall would not recommend this hotel I know I for sure will not be returning. So many other issues I can't even post just stay far away.

First time stay. I will have to say the service was above and beyond anything I have ever had at a hotel. Everyone from the bellmen, to the check in staff and the wait staff at the Rib Room were top notch. Every one treated us like they really cared and I feel they did!I will be back and you should stay with them too.The property needs a big of TLC in the rooms and pool. Other than that 5 stars!

We absolutely loved the Omni and would stay here again. We had a lovely room on the fifth floor with a balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable and they went above and beyond, allowing us to check-in early, surprising us with sparkling wine and chocolate cake to celebrate our honeymoon, and so on. The rooftop pool is a delight to escape the heat. The rooftop bar served cold drinks, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Everything was perfect! If I had to complain about one thing, it would be the dresser, which was a little run down and driving me insane as the drawers kept opening on their own. A stupid thing, but still. Figured a nice hotel like this could ensure their furniture was in good working order. Also a shout out to the housekeepers! They work super hard and our room was perfectly made up every day including fresh towels and those awesome NEST products.

We spent our wedding week here and it was perfect! Beautiful hotel and great location. We held our cocktail welcome event on the garden terrace under the string lights outside and it was exactly what we wanted to start off our wedding festivities. Staff was professional and kind as well! Jan from reservations was great and Daniel too in helping plan our events!
