My car was in the shop once again! I needed a rental for a few days. We make an online reservation for 4 days for $216 (a rate too good to be true). We arrive and we are told it would be $156 / wow even better and very excited. She says nothing else and hands us the keys. We look at our credit card and we were charged $156 and $159.63. Our itemized Dollar rental bill says voucher -156. We were not explained what that was besides prepayment and it is subtracted from the rental rate fees and others. So I ask what is the $159.63!! She said oh that’s what you will pay for the rental. Very excited. We drop off the vehicle and they said we already got the $156&$159 so u owe nothing I said NO that’s not what it was supposed to be and she said well the computer says $315 was what the bills supposed to be and NO I would not have taken the car. Sent paperwork to corporate and was told nothing was wrong and that was the price. Either employees need training on little things like reading/explaining/customer service skills because I damn sure never got told the estimated total was $315 and will never get a refund or anything! Incompetence is ugly but don’t tell me I didn’t do something and your employees can’t comprehend how to explain the receipt and she told us $159.63 and somehow charged double. That’s not a way to do business. This was at the Lafayette Airport Terminal in Lafayette Louisiana so be careful ask 1000 questions and read fine print and if u told one thing it really won’t matter because they will win! Never again

I was given a rental car with a bad tire. The tire had a golf ball size lump in it!! I wasn’t able to drive it, the tire company been trying to get in touch with someone from dollar an hertz for the past 2days. ( no response)

Horrible, horrible company. I would stay away from dollar and Hertz Lafayette. I booked for a car got there and left horrible, never got the car because they said there is no car, I should come back the next day with a promise that they would give me a car the next day, I went and the manager said there was no car that I had to check back by 12noon the next day, I called on that day, no car still. They promised to refund me and are now trying to be tricky in refunding me. I booked a 14 day rental using a booking site and never got the car. They are scammers, their staff is mean and tell lies. Everyone of them are wicked, mean and unruly.

Didn't have a car available for me to pick up. They had me wait and they couldn't cancel it. They had me call customer service. Customer service said to fill out something online. I did. A week later and still no refund and no call.

Do not use this place for car rentals. Third time that I have arrived with a reservation only to be told that no cars are available. They lie, say they called you to inform you that due to their lack of managerial and logistical skills that no cars were available. Never received a missed call or voicemail from them. The staff has no empathy, it’s just wrong what they do to people and should not be in business. DO NOT RENT FROM DOLLAR. They don’t even deserve one star, in fact they deserve negative stars. Bad business place.

No direct line to the desk at Lafayette airport. The dude I spoke with didn't even try to help me. Plus he sounded like he learned English from Ozzy Osborne, with a mouthful of marbles.

Reserved car rental days prior to pick up date…On arrival to pick up car rental, I was told they there was no available rentals….They could’ve called prior so I had time to book with someone else….Very unprofessional! Will NOT be booking with them EVER again‼️

1 star only because I can't leave zero. SCAM!! They let you book online saying you can change and update. LIES!!! NEVER said needed major credit card!! I was booking for my son who was flying in. Needless to say he didn't get rental car and refused to give him refund!!! NEVER USE THERSE SCAM ARITISTS!!!

Classic bait and switch. Booked a car and 5 minutes later they claimed not to have the car. Tried to raise rate by 33% without even telling me. Be careful. Better yet, avoid hertz and Dollar and use another vendor

Staff are very nice deposit always comes back in about 24 hours of return. Been using Dollar every week for 4 months now and love it… just make sure they have a vehicle before making a purchase with ANY rental period.

No stars. You pay what you get for, and for my case, I paid and got no rental car. My reservation had an error where the driver’s name and credit card names didn’t match, even though both people were present (husband and wife) and they refused to give us a car, change the name, or add a driver.

NEVER AGAIN!! Reserved car for 12:30.......show up & told no cars available.....maybe after 3.... I made a reservationar to avoid this senerio & had somewhere to be at a set time. Customer Rep didn't care & seemed annoyed she had to put down her phone. Called to cancel & for refund & they are going to process that in 7 to 10 business days. WTF?? They sure we're able to take the $$ right away!! How about don't take our $$ till we show up & if you have a car?!? WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER
