“You can find almost anything here. It is comparable to Walmart with the products it has in stock and sometimes even priced less than Walmart. Without the wait and long lines to deal with.”

“Recently, my wife and I were in Houma for grand daughters wedding. We visited the Rouses on St Charles Street. We were greeted and welcomed to the store, and asked if they could help us find anything. They were helpful and very courteous. The staff are a plus for the store. The ladies at the counter were very friendly and welcomed us to the store and city and told us to have a safe trip back to Mobile. Thanks Rouses”

“I met the owner playing poker. He used to be a regular on one of my games. He tells me he makes a killer po boy so I popped in to try one. It was a solid performer. He and his wife run the store. It's a fine convenience store to just pop into if u are out of something on the way home”

“They are not as good as they used to be. Half of the aisle signs were gone and it was hard to find things. The Cashier was the Star of our visit. He is a student at Fletcher Technical College, we're my oldest son works as the Maintenance man for many years. He did sign me up for a customer rewards card. It did save me some money. You know, I am all about customer rewards and savings. Lol They have a HUGE liquor section in the store. But overall the store was okay.”

“Cash only. Tiny little taco stand but big flavor. I’m no stranger to good Mexican food, but it’s rare to find it this good in Louisiana. Torta was amazing with the cheese grilled onto the bread. Also had a pastor taco and the flavors were on point. Great spot and will be back next time I’m in town.”

“Definitely glad to see a regular chain of grocery stores besides Walmart in the area. One of my visiting coworkers remarked that he could get items cheaper and buy food known to this region at Rouses. It was well organized and offered foods typical of my hometown grocery, even after a hurricane.”

“Some wonderful authentic flavors here. Bisteca ranchero and carne asada were both on point and we'll spiced. Loved the cheese papusa but the bean papusa left me flat. The caldo de res was a man sized portion and made with some exemplary short ribs. English is not their first language but we muddled thru. Coming back again soon for some soup when it's cold. Ole'!”

“Wow! What a fabulous experience with Cannata’s and a sweet helpful lady named Marian. We are big fans of their Gooey Butter King Cake and wanted to have one shipped all the way to Hawaii to properly celebrate Mardi Gras Day. There was a slight shipping glitch but Marian fixed it all! Our King Cake was over-nighted at no charge and it arrived! Everyone loved it! It was fresh and delicious! They are a wonderful company and I highly recommend them!”

“English:We visited on a Sunday around 8pm. Apparently, this store has been here for 15 years. It is hidden, at the shopping center, behind Taqueria El Mundo, so its understandable that it would get missed. Although, I'm not sure if this store is considered a Mexican store, they have plenty of Mexican goodies. In one fridge they have fresh cheeses and cream. In another fridge they have a variety of Mexican drinks, including Jarritos sodas. In one freezer they have frozen fruits and in another they have ice cream pops. If you go down the aisles, they have plenty of dried goodies too. I even saw some baskets of dried red chilis and 2 of dried beans. Even more into the store, they had prayer candles and Mexican brand detergents. On the counter they have the square Halls cough drops and other medicines. They also have Bubaloo gums and chili-covered lollipops. The employees were very friendly. They even allowed me to take pics so that I could post them with my review. From what I can remember, the store was clean and organized. Im not sure if they have a restroom because I didnt ask.My only recommendation, and the reason for the 4-star, is because they did not have prices on any of the items. Otherwise, I would have given them a 5-star review.Overall, I would recommend this store to anyone trying to find Mexican/Hispanic products. Great store!! Will definitely be coming back myself, now that I know it's here.Spanish:We visited on a Sunday around 8 pm. Apparently this store has been here for 15 years.
