Well just ate our last Boneless Stuff Chicken. Time for the 800 mile trip back from Florida to hit my favorite child hood place. Locations changed but some of the best old good food and people.

A large place for a very limited selection of goods. This place is really created to sell the products produced by one or two farms. The freezer containers in the back have an interesting selection of meat products. Ready to eat boudsn is better than average. Like all their product it is pleasantly on the spicy side.

Oh my goodness. I bought a jar of their hog lard roux. I was impressed by its dark color. Not having any experience with theirs, and not liking the jar rouxs that use cottonseed oil for their base, this one really caught my attention. Tonight I had the opportunity to simmer some "trinity", add the roux, chicken stock, the typical spice mix that Donald Link uses, and my goodness, did this ever turn into an excellent gumbo. Chicken and sausage.
