Midway, a Donaldsonville tradition and the Landry family, Todd and Tara, always go the extra mile to service their customers!

Local store that provides good service to the locals, we had a problem with a product and the young manager quickly made the situation whole... great job in customer service..

I love Midway, I'm a regular. You can always run in and out. It's one of the best small town grocery stores in the city of Donaldsonville....

Today my wife and I decided to visit a local grocery store. We usually go to the Walmart or the bigger grocery chain in town. I figure this might be a taste of small town goodness to walk to the grocer for some breakfast foods. The place always looks nice and well kept so despite the rain we grabbed our umbrellas and made the walk. When we arrived I couldn't help but notice the clerk made an effort to not make eye contact with me when I entered to at least utter good morning. I mention that because it's a small store and the entrance is literally 3ft from the register. I brushed it off, I figure it must suck being at work on a rainy Saturday. So I'm checking out the store to see what they have to offer. It saddens me to say I made the trip in the rain for nothing. The meat was not particularly fresh. I noticed the pot roast wasn't even fully red anymore. There was no way I was picking up any poultry from there. Everything else was fine until I noticed the clerk that couldn't make eye contact for a greeting found time to keep her eyes on me by following me throughout the store by peeping around corners and making passes at the ends of the aisles. At that point I realized I wasn't buying anything from these people and never will. The items were over priced and the poultry looked disgusting. This may be a "neighborhood" store but I did not feel like a neighbor. I say no way to Midway.
