See Erin's review below, same exact thing happened to me. The part was covered under warranty I figured the labor since the tech was here about 2hrs is about $300 per hour. Plus on mine it needed additional part of a board that was out and that was not covered another $300+. This all started August 1st, second part put on 8/15, I called back and was told the repairman could not return to 9/1, I tried to explain to the call taker that the repairman was just here but to deaf ears in a foreign country who had a script to go back and told me I was out of luck and the repair was scheduled to be 9/1, the saga continues. :(Service: Refrigerator repair

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! BIGGEST RIP-OFF!My 5 year old Kenmore refrigerator stopped cooling the fridge and freezer. Since the compressor has a 10 year warranty I called Sears. I talked to a woman who told me it would be 7 days before Sears expert technicians could come out. She said I had to give her a credit card number to book the appointment. I would be charged 149.99 for the evaluation but that could be applied to the cost of repairs. She said the compressor was covered by the warranty but not labor. I asked for an estimate of the labor, she said the technician would have to tell me that. When the man came he said it was the compressor and it was free but the bill with labor was 640.00. When I asked how much they charged per hour for labor he said he had no control over that labor charge because it is set by Sears. If I refused the service they were going to charge my credit card 174.00. I would have never used them if I had known they were going to rip me off. I had no choice so I paid. The technician left the old part and boxes in my kitchen for me to pickup. I called my local appliance repair shop, they quoted me the same repair… parts (paying for a new compressor) and labor 650.00I WILL NEVER EVER BY ANOTHER SEARS PRODUCT!!!Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

Use anyone other than Sears services. You will definitely regret it. I have the deluxe sided by side GE profile Refrig 6 years old. The fan went out - called Sears. It took a week to get an appointment. I paid in advance, over $1,000 for a new fan motor and the earliest they would return to install the fan was 2 weeks later between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The technician never showed up and no one call. I got a text that said the tech was on his way and the a text saying the appointment was being scheduled one week later. It is impossible to reach a human and no possible way to communicate. Horrible experience. I initially felt back for such an iconic company to fall on hard times, but now I understand how poor management destroy a cultural icon. So sad

The technician was courteous and knowledgeable. Very responsive, unfortunately the refrigerator isn't keeping temperature but the technician offered to return to fix. Thank you.Service: Refrigerator repair

Expensive. Labor was extremely expensive and not worth to fix an older washer with shot springs. Other than that the guy was knowledgeable.

After calling many other local companies who seemed actually determined to not earn anyones business, this Sears was responsive and did a great job. The only reason for the 4/5 starts is that they are the most expensive. But compared to the service from the other companies, they are worth the higher cost.

Absolutely horrible experience with this company. Had a technician come out through my home warranty company, and although he seemed nice enough, he asked what was wrong with the fridge, and after pulling the panel apart he said the thermostat was bad. He happened to have the part in his truck, so he changed it, and after I had told him another issue with the fridge he just left. 3 days go by and after spending $300 on food after I was told my fridge was fixed, and now I'm going to lose it all again. Then after my home warranty puts in a service recall to get him out to fix it right, they lose my appointment. Now the next available appointment isn't until 4 days from now when they should have been out here ASAP to fix their mistake. Horrible customer service as well. It connects to another foreign country where I can barely understand the person on the other line because their accent is so thick and they don't have the best grasp on the English language. TLDR; Stay away from this company. Their technicians aren't good, and their customer service is even worse.

Serviceman was quite the professional. I appreciated the face that he called before he came. Also, my whole day was not tied up waiting for him to come. Very well pleased.
