“My wife and I love Meijer, and when we moved to Georgia back in 2015, it was one of the things we missed most. Meijer has a large selection of pretty much anything you might want at competitive prices in line with other grocery stores.We still travel a few times a year and saw the sign for this Meijer location on our way through Owensboro while heading up North to visit my wife's family. It is one of our regular stops to stock up on non-perishable items on the way home, and we still find it to be a great place to shop.They have a large fresh produce section with quality items, and the meat and seafood departments are big and good. We try to pack a cooler with us to pick items up on the way home when it is functional to do so. My wife loves to browse the health and beauty section, but she never fails to find ladies' clothing items on clearance or special and picks up new items on virtually every visit we make.But, the best aspect of shopping at Meijer is the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. On our last visit, we used the self-checkout lanes, and I was having difficulty using my MPerks card. I hit the button for assistance, and the lady who arrived to help took full ownership of the problem. While I told her it was not a problem and probably a temporary glitch she called two other staff members to help find a resolution for us and make it right. That is service that is above and beyond any other store we visit.Our only problem with Meijer is that they do not have a store in Dawsonville, GA, or anywhere closer to us than Bowling Green, KY. If for no other reason, we continue to patronize Meijer due to their wonderful customer service and their great staff.”
“I've been with the Nation's Medicines on Burlew Blvd for just over a year now and so far every experience I've had with them has been positive. The staff are consistently friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. When I switched to a new medication, the pharmacist came out to make sure I knew everything I needed to and that all my questions were answered. When I ran out of pills right before vacation and my doctor was AWOL, a tech arranged to loan me a few pills for my trip without even being asked. When I had to call with a question five minutes before they closed, the employee on the line talked me through everything and acted like he had all the time in the world. I will never use another pharmacy and I recommend them to all my family and friends.”

This store has always been old and run down and I overlooked that because I really enjoyed and appreciated the employees. That has definitely changed. Johanna is an angry person, ?ALL?THE?TIME? ! She's rude and is very comfortable cursing in front of customers and talking horribly about them. The management is aware and corporate has been notified. I will continue to report her until she either changes her disgusting attitude or she's fired. Period.”
“I recently lost my prescription coverage and my pain medication for my MS was over $130 at Krogers I could not afford this with my limited income. My doctors office told me that I needed to call around to other pharmacy's to see if I could find a lower price. Don & Daisy's pharmacy were less then half price! They were wonderful. They filled my prescription while I waited in the drive thru! I highly recommend this place! Plus they deliver for free in the city limits.”

“I honestly love the service you receive here. The staff are terrific and very professional. The only hiccup I experienced was I got shorted one out of 70 of my strips. Normally that wouldn't have been an issue BUT the medicine I take is very time based. And I can't just miss one or take a half dose to same enough for the next day. It's very precise. And it's a controlled substance so you know they're gonna be like yea okay we "shorted you" still I just had to take the L. Other than that, great pharmacy. Love the place.”

“I love being able to use the app to start the pump and pay for gas without having to swipe a card let alone 2 cards! Just open the app and scan the Qr code and pick the card yku want to pay for it with in your Sam's club account and pump your gas. You will get an email receipt and can always see them in previous purchases.”

I like that they have everything I need, and the store usually isn't crowded, at least not when I'm around.I can certainly say that this is the best Kroger in Owensboro to go to; the store is clean, and it's away from the city centre, so it isn't as busy as the other Owensboro stores.”
“I’ve used quite a few pharmacies in the past including Walmart, CVS, and Nation’s and Meijer has consistently come out on top every time. There are a few reviews on here degrading and belittling the staff for things that were far beyond their control such as their HVAC system going out, or their truck coming in late and them not being able to get certain medications to customers before close. However, even when they do have issues outside of their control, Meijer’s Pharmacy staff have always gone above and beyond in making sure their customers are taken care of. I have only ever had one negative experience with an employee that no longer works there, and even then, in the end I was still taken care of. Melissa, who I believe is the head Pharmacy tech, is an angel and is always willing to help whether that be with calling in a refill for me when I’m out, or helping me add prescriptions to auto fill each month. They’re also open seven days a week, and pretty late into the day/evening, which is the most convenient schedule I’ve seen out of any of the pharmacies available in our area. I’ve also never had any issue with my medicine being kept from me or being told I HAVE to buy a specific brand name as I had dealt with when going to Walmart or CVS pharmacies in the past. Overall, Meijer’s pharmacy is a 10/10 and I will always recommend them to everyone I know.”

“Kroger on Frederica and Starlite are both ok if you shop inside. The pick up service not so great. The app doesn't always work and with the telephone number no longer available your at the mercy of contacting an associate or walking in for assistance. Both Kroger's are doing this now. This service was useful for so many local shoppers of age and/or disability. The most friendly Kroger in Owensboro is on 60 East. This store is also the cleanest. They do not have a pick up service but it's easily to manage due to the smaller size. Their produce section is absolutely the best hands down.”

“Nations pharmacy is the best pharmacy I've been to since I moved to Owensboro 2 years ago. Nations pharmacy has been a professional, pleasant pharmacy to work with. All the staff has been incredible to work with.Tried to work with Walgreens pharmacy on Frederica and the staff there is absolutely horrible and rude. I don't know if the store or the pharmacists are aware of just how horrible the assistants in the pharmacy are. Even the other Walgreen pharmacies were very nice and helpful but just that particular pharmacy on Frederica is horrible.”
