This was my first experience with custom cabinets and I was extremely pleased. My builder and I worked with Kirby and the results were absolutely amazing. Her expertise in design and recommending what would work for my space is top notch.The cabinetry is definitely well built and beautiful and is a focal point of my home.I would highly recommend Barber Cabinets, and Kirby, to anyone!

Jessica King at Barber worked with us on getting a new kitchen island installed. We had just recently come out of several months of restoration work to our house due to a massive pipe leak and unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with our general contractor.Jessica worked really hard at putting our fears to rest about the integrity of the Barber company as a whole. She assured us that everything would be looked over with a fine tooth comb from beginning to end, and that’s exactly what she did. She was extremely professional, and was always quick to reply if we left a message. There were two very small issues right after it got installed and she took care of those immediately and everything ran smooth. I would recommend this company and I would recommend Jessica King.

We had the pleasure of working with Kirby and she was amazing from start to finish! I had never picked anything custom so I was nervous but Kirby brought easy and peace of mind and made the experience a lot of fun! I would pick to work with her again in a heartbeat. Our cabinets are all that and more!

Our contractor recommended Barber Cabinets for our. kitchen remodel and our project was completed in May of this year. The cabinets are gorgeous and very well made. Kirby Barber Riley was our contact and did a wonderful job on the design, giving us more counter space than we thought was possible! While I loved working with Kirby, the cabinets are made of luan which doesn’t hold up in a kitchen that is used daily. After only 8 years, we are having to replace cabinet fronts. Luan doesn’t seem to hold paint well and where the paint has worn off, it doesn’t even resemble wood.Service: Custom cabinet design & installation

Now we can sit back and enjoy the nice work you did for our family at our house. We just built our ‘forever home’ and Kirby with Barber Cabinets helped from planning the layout, choosing the finishes, and ensuring all work was completed to our satisfaction. Kirby came to the worksite multiple times to confirm measurements and placement of cabinet features. I find making quick decisions a difficult task, so her expertise and knowledge was very much appreciated. The quality of the workmanship is stellar and attention to detail is appreciated. After our final walkthrough, Kirby reiterated that I can call her if there is anything with which we need assistance. Barber Cabinets stands behind their product. We just completed a major renovation of a 100 year old home in Louisville, Kentucky. It took a great deal of collaboration between the contractor, designers, Barber Cabinets and the appliance company, to deal with construction surprises that naturally occur in a 100 year old house. In addition, we completely re-configured the first-floor, knocking out walls - moving walls, and adding a master bath, laundry, powder room, and mud room areas. Our goal was to respect the original architecture, while updating the space to reflect an open floor plan, with good sight lines for the living space. Barber Cabinets, Kirby - was an interracial part of completing the vision. We incorporated a-lot of built in cabinetry, such as: coffee station, beverage/bar station, open kitchen with a large island, shelving, custom vanities - all designed to compliment the Tudor style - while remaining functional. Design and Function, can be hard to achieve - thats where Kirby and Barber Cabinets, delivered far-past our expectations. Kirby is thoughtful, experienced, open to collaboration, professional, consistent, and offers a product of the highest quality. Throughout the process, her team delivered. Products arrived on-time, offering superior followup with-immediate adjustments and corrections. The custom colors we used were spot-on matches with the color swatches, allowing the rooms to look integrated and complete. In short, Barber Cabinet Company was a pleasure to work with - and I can recommend Kirby and Barber Cabinets, with the utmost confidence.

Please do not hire Barber Cabinet Company. You will pay twice the price, and get half the service and quality. The first thing you should ask, which seems like an odd question to ask, is whether or not your plates are going to fit in your cabinets. After my cabinets were installed, I proceeded to put my plates in the cabinet, and the cabinets were about an inch too thin so the doors wouldn't close. Barber's explanation was that this happens when you choose inset cabinets. Wouldn't this be something you would tell the customer or better yet how about making the cabinets an inch deeper? I talked to two other companies since then and they automatically make the cabinets deeper when people choose inset cabinets so that this is not a problem. My next problem with Barber is that if you want to make a small change after the cabinets are installed, forget that, they will never accommodate you. I wanted to make a small change to a cabinet and add a TV, and they would only do it if they ripped out the cabinets and my newly installed tile and take it back to the store. They had no one who would do it onsite. I had to hire another company to do the job onsite, and they were absolutely awesome. I had them look at my cabinets, and they quoted me a price for half the price of Barber. Additionally, Barber was very late with the install which completely held up my contractor, and they never offered an apology or any kind of a discount but they promptly sent me my final bill and asked for immediate payment (which we paid) or else interest would be charged.

Barber did our master bathroom and laundry room over a year ago, and we were so pleased with their service, from design to installation, that we had them do our kitchen, which they just finished. Phenomenal! It is so rare to find a company this dedicated to excellence, but Barber has been outstanding in every respect. And they have been consistent over a long period of time and in multiple departments. Thank you!!
