6th Street Antiques is one of Hopkinsville’s somewhat hidden gems. There is a wide variety of merchandise on offer here, from lovely antique furniture to lamps to toys to books - a selection too broad to list here. Catherine Arthur, the owner, is welcoming and friendly and her prices are quite reasonable. I often joke that 6th Street Antiques is like Disney World - you can’t see it all in one day! If you like antiques, you owe it to yourself to pay this store a visit.

Happy Thanksgiving. My dear friends.I am so sorry I missed seeing you when I visited Kentucky a few weeks ago. I did so much want to see your faces. My beautiful Kentucky home. I drove all the way from Texas. I wanted to enjoy as much as I could.Time truly flies.Have a joyous holiday filled with love. I often thought of you but never had the opportunity to find you. So funny. Now I feel like I’m stalking you. I’m still planning my return soon. Life keeps getting in my way but I’m not giving up. I miss Kentucky and my loved ones.

We had a great lunch here! The burgers are great and my wife had a salad that could have been bigger but she said tasted great. All the ingredients were fresh in both of our meals. We topped everything off with homemade chocolate cake that also had homemade icing. The ambiance of this place is old town Hopkinsville. Do not expect to be blown away by the atmosphere of the place but it is nice and welcoming.

Oh my goodness, we stumbled across a jewel going through Hopkinsville at lunch time. Looked on yelp and saw the Bisto and what a good decision it was to stop. Serving "no name soup", which evidently the chef made up that day. Rich broth, full of veggies and sausage. Delicious! Then there is the Reuben, made like no other I have had and the best I have ever had. The burger and onion straws my husband had were fabulous. Thank you for a wonderful meal! The service is pretty special, too!

Small towns are disappearing and this main street area downtown is worth checking out, even if only from your car. When out of town, I still try to "shop local" though, so check it out.

Yesterday my husband and I had lunch at the Bistro on 6th. We were a little confused when we got there because we had actually traveled to eat lunch at "The Place- A Local Eatery". As we learned though, the previous owner passed away a few months ago, and although they now have a different menu, they would still make us anything off of the old one. I am so happy that I chose the Bistro on 6th for lunch. My husband had the absolute best Reuben he's ever had in his life, no joke! I must also tell you that he's traveled all over the world and he's older than mud, so THE best Reuben is saying a lot!! I ordered the bacon and potato quiche with a side of onion straws. The quiche was good, but had too many large pieces of potato for my taste. The onion straws were like heaven! I'll drive all the way to Hoptown just for more of those. Sliced very thin and hand breaded in a light tempura type batter and lightly fried, and they weren't greasy. Oh my goodness!! If you're looking for a great lunch spot, look no further.

Small shop with very cool furniture and decor pieces. I usually don’t find anything I like in antique stores but I bought 3 beautiful pieces in this store! I will be back!!!
