I took my Corvette to KD Auto Repair (Georgetown) in June to have the A/C looked at. I thought it was just needing to have some coolant put into the system. While looking it over, they discovered that my harmonic balancer was wobbling. They took a video of it to show me what was occurring and explained to me what might happen if I didn't address the situation.I drove the car home and called back to have them order the part and schedule me in.To make a long story a little shorter... it took FOUR MONTHS for the part to become available. This was NO FAULT, whatsoever, on the part of KD Auto Repair. The part was just not available to be purchased.I called several times, during that period, and asked if they'd check on the availability of the part. They were always very courteous and accommodating and would call to check on the part's availability.When the part FINALLY became available, they called me and told me that it was available and asked if I wanted to go ahead and proceed with the purchase and replacement of the part. I told them yes and the procured the harmonic balancer and got me scheduled in for the very next day.They did a wonderful job on the replacement and the car is running in tip top condition.And... I'll add in... there wasn't a scratch to be found anywhere on the body of the car. I keep it in the garage and am familiar with each of the very few scratches on the vehicle and they did not cause a single scratch to the paint anywhere.I am VERY pleased with the service I received at KD Auto Repair and won't hesitate to take my car back up there for service.

Working with this auto shop has been a disaster. We originally took our truck here for an alignment and replacement of ball joint and lower control arm replacement. We waited for almost 2 weeks for them to work on our vehicle. When called they explained that only one side of the lower control arm needed replaced. We told them to do whatever they needed to do to get the truck back on the road. We agreed and they were to do the work. We went to pick up the vehicle and noticed a popping sound. My husband looked at it and noticed that the control arm had not been replaced, but a new ball joint was put in. I realize that there was a perhaps a misunderstanding or miscommunication. We paid $1300 . We call them back once we realize the control arm was not replaced. They then tell us that both control arms need replaced. Which is different from what we originally were told. They quote us an additional $900. When we tell them that we were originally told we only needed one, they called back and said they would replace one for $700. The whole experience has been a huge nightmare and a costly one at that. We were trying to stick to a local repair shop but we were not impressed at all with the work.

I would not recommend them to anyone. My engine light come on and I could tell it wasn't firing so they ran a diagnostic test on it. The said all cylinders were running at 120 and my engine needed replaced. I read their website that said they would trouble shoot the problem which obviously they did not. I took it somewhere else they ran the test and all 4 cylinders were running at 180, with a little trouble shooting he found that a wire had been cut. Had they checked at all they would have seen this. Stay away from this place. They charged me over $200.00 to tell me I needed to replace my engine. You have been warned!! Go at you own risk!! As for me never and I do mean never again will I take my vehicle there.Service: Engine repair

After having front brakes installed and taking our van in several times because we knew something was not correct, we were told everything was good with front brakes but our back brakes needed replaced. we took it for a second opinion and found out the brake hose was twisted which didn't allow brake fluid in and that our rear brakes did not need to be replaced.

I was getting new tires and needed alignment, I called several places KD was the least expensive. The guy I spoke with (I forgot his name) was very nice. I work third shift and needed to get the alignment done on my way home, I drive for a living so scheduling an appointment is difficult, they basically took me in as a walk in. They had me in and out in no time. I do much of my own work on vehicles, but I will definatly will need them again. ThanksService: Steering & suspension repair

I had a synthetic oil change here. Friendly local people and price was less than Big O and a lot less than Pensoil. I'll be back.
