Stopped in here for the first time today with my four year old daughter because we always passed it and kept forgetting to check it out! (My daughter loves books) the customer service is the BEST, the employees were so welcoming. The store is inviting and adorably decorated. We went up the the “Big Green Room” that was decorated exactly like the book, “Goodnight Moon”, it was neat! the lady at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure my daughter had a pleasant first experience. Please support this small business! We will certainly be back!!

Amazing store!!!!!!My family and I have been customers here for years. Staff is always helpful and polite. They consistently go out of their way to help finding options that conform to often very abstract criteria.I cannot recommend them more. Is there a 6-stars option? Can I give an 8/5 star rating?

So cute! I didn't have my daughters with me, but I plan to take them next time we're in the area. They have books and things for older readers too, but the Green Room as they call it (an exact replica from the book Goodnight Moon) is a must-see highlight. Very fun, energetic staff, they're just so passionate about books and reading and kids, it's really inspiring to go there.

Asking children to wear masks is cruel. Amazon will charge half as much for books and you don't have to wear a mask getting them!This will not be a surprise given the mask thing but the store is also woke.

Took my daughter to find two more books in a series. The displays were all rearranged, but the clerk knew exactly where to find the books we wanted. Every employee of this store is knowledgeable and friendly every time we go.On this visit, it was too cold for the Secret Garden out back, but we did go upstairs to visit the Great Green Room (from "Goodnight, Moon"). My daughter had fun pointing out the telephone and the kittens and mittens and comb and brush and bowl full of mush and everything else the book mentions. Always a wonderful experience at The Blue Marble.

This whole building made us smile. The real life version of Goodnight, Moon is a treasure. Books for kids and teens and adults. Our whole family loved shopping here.

Wonderful little Children's bookshop! We took a little trip to visit here and of course see the Great Green Room Great book selection, generous teacher discounts and they're happy to order anything they don't have in stock!

This place! Fantastic. Staff was helpful and went above and beyond in helping pick a book that was not too heavy and not too light. Go local. Bring your kid and pop a spot on the couch and let them shop.

I am so happy to have discovered Blue Marble Books just down the street from my son's school. Charming atmosphere, friendly staff, and the kind of personal touch rapidly disappearing in the era of Amazon and big box bookstores. While most of their in-stock selection is geared towards children and YA readers, they will happily order in any title you want, and even offered to hand deliver my order when it came in while I was quarantined with Covid. So if you are looking for an alternative to Amazon, give this FLBS your business!

This place is a hidden gem. Every time we take our 4 year old son they are so nice and accommodating. We are trying to make this a monthly routine. If you didn't know, the Goodnight Moon Room is awesome.
