So, I decided to stop in here, being it is on the other side of town and I live out in the county, I was closer this day as I was going to my pharmacy on 29th. I grabbed a boxed wine, Bota Box Blackhawk to be exact, as I usually get at any other store that offers alcohol. I have purchased it locally and out of state, all the way to Florida. I get home, this is on Thursday, April 25, 2024, and open the box, fill my glass and anticipate the relaxing taste of my favorite boxed wine. NO....NO...NO!! WTAF?? There is something completely OFF! I ask my husband to have a sip and he too thinks it tastes off! The only way I can describe the taste is the crisper drawer in your fridge when all of the veggies go bad, that smell plus really, really rotten olives in the mix of aromas! It taste like old olives, bad vinegar and mildew!! So, I had a "hunch" that it was spoiled, possibly too aged. I look the box over up and down, finally flipping it to its' top and notice a "Use by date" on the very bottom of the box. It expired in June of 2022!!! Yes, my bad for not looking, but that is not my job! As a consumer I should have full confidence in shopping at a "reputable" liquor store without having to date check their products, as this has NEVER been an issue at any other establishment in the past. I did not bother taking it back or asking for a refund, as I figured it would be a waste of time and gas to only be told No, as I am certain would have happened. Instead, I want to warn anyone else who may shop, or does shop this store! Please Check the dates on certain Items! Especially boxed wines and such, as they do not have long shelf lives like bottled wines. The plastic bags they are stored in are more susceptible to being exposed to oxygen and causing microbes and bacteria to enter. That Is why they have a "USE by date". If I had continued to drink that gawd awful wine, I could potentially have became sick. At the very least, it was the most disgusting, unpleasing liquid that has ever touched my pallet! Not to mention the money that was literally poured down my kitchen sink! PLease, managers and owners of this establishment, I ask you with good intentions, check your shelves!
The service was great btw! The man at the counter was very welcoming and nice. I have no issues with the atmosphere, employees or the selection! (Bumped you up tp 3 stars) Just please, please do an out of date inventory!

If you don’t want people to take photos of your bourbon due to sticker shock, maybe you should price it fairly. I would’ve gladly bought something if you hadn’t been so rude. Won’t happen again. Trust me.

We were incredibly surprised by the collection here. They really have a ton of great bourbon available here and a pretty nice of rums as well. The bourbon bundles are neat too

I go here probably 3/4 times a week (not for alcohol) for tobacco/2 liters/tubes etc because it's right around the corner from our house. Everyone there is friendly and ready to help if you need it. Most of them know our order when they see our car coming lol.
