If you’re like me and go to Sephora for the knowledgeable staff, don’t go to this location. It’s staffed with JC Penny employees that know nothing about any of the lines. I was looking for a toner and the girl literally told me to go buy a brand sold at Kohls, pulled it up on her phone! The opposite of what I was looking for.

No employees here know how to give me my online order. They finally figured out online orders are picked up at the freestanding Sephora store at the other end of the mall. There were two people and it both their first day. Not good planning.

You left our city empty and now we will never do business with you again. The buy one get one half off was never a good deal and that is one reason you went out of business

The lady right there was very rude. She didn't allow us to touch the perfume bottles because covid related and she immediately demanded the bottle back

I don't usually go to this location, but they had what I needed in stock for same day pickup a few days before Christmas. I went the next day to get it. I parked and walked in. There was a table with a friendly guy standing there with a sign that said online pickups. He asked for my phone number, pulled up the order, went and retrieved it, and after checking my id, I was in and out in less than five minutes. Two days before Christmas. I was very impressed with the whole setup. Way to make something easy and convenient during a stressful time of year.

Bought my wife what appears to be a $250 Sephora gift card. It is a JcPenney gift card disguised as a Sephora card!! You can not use the card at the actual Sephora store or on line, also JcPenney will not refund me the money!!! Last dime I will ever spend at JcPenney!! Fraudulent, misleading, false marketing and terrible customer service!!!

SEPHORA INSIDE JCP at Oak Park Mall. Overland Park, Kansas!!!! Sephora in its entirety has completely lost my respect, and money! Placed an online order, didn't like the product. I'm a stickler for reading reviews and most times I will not shop online, especially if I'm not able to return locally or US mail free of charge. After careful research and reading (several times) on the back of the SEPHORA RECEIPT, it clearly stated, returns can be made by mail or Sephora stores and Sephora inside JCP! Trying to kill to birds with one stone, I drove all the way to Sephora in Overland Park Kansas located at Oak Park Mall. I tell the sales rep I have an online return and I didn't like the colors. I had 2 Kat Von items, 1 Sephora item, 1 Stila item. We get to the register she says "on we no longer have this in the store (Stila) so you can't return this" I say, the receipt states any item I'm not satisfied with can be returned to any US Sephora store in/out of JCP! She says "oh I don't know what to do, let me call my manager" She comes back and says yeah my manager said we can't return this one. I tell her I drove all this way and I don't have the time to drive somewhere else. She calls the manger, manger comes down. She then tells me, not only can they not accept the Stila item but now they also can not accept one of the Kat Von items. I'm thinking how did this go from driving here to make a return of four items, get here, one rep says I can only return 3 and now you telling me I can only return 2. I say so you're telling me, the back of the receipt (online packaging receipt) is old, outdated and misleading. The manager tells me yes the receipt is wrong then precedes to try and push the bs line "oh well our system was updated 2 months ago and hey have no way of knowing what the item really is or how much it is. I say ok but I just place this order 2 days ago, you have the box, packing slip, my email address (which clearly states what was just ordered and the bar code should tell you everything you need to know, just as it would tell you the name and amount of the order two items. Then she states the system was updated 2 weeks ago. I told her, you're not putting the items back on the shelf, you're sending them back to a warehouse, so rather you can find it out not, I'm supposed to be able to return. She smiles while shaking her head then shrug her shoulders, there's nothing we can do. I laughed, told her that's fine I'll go somewhere else. Not cool Sephora, not cool at all!!! I wasted a lot of gas, time, energy and a one hour drive, dealing with them. I immediately called customer service and was told again, no matter the product they are supposed to accept the return. The csr claimed to have submitted a complaint and that I'd here from the district manager. As of today I have not. The only reason the 1 star is there, because Yelp would not allow a review without some sort of rating.

I don't know if the young lady was new or what, but I went in as a new customer to purchace foundation. I do not know about foundations so I was lost. I saw the girl in a mirror booth applying foundations and I asked her for help. Again I ASKED HER! And I promise she stood by the mirror applying the foundations talking about how she's trying to find her foundation and she has half her face coverd with one and the other with another and she can see the difference and bla bla bla. She didn't at all help me!! When she finally asked what foundation I was looking for she sent me to Macy's upstairs!! I ended up going into Nordstrom and spent 300 and bought what the nice girl told me because SHE TOOK INTEREST IN HELPING ME.

Came here on a Saturday which is never the greatest idea . However, the employees were friendly, check out was easy and fast, so overall my experience was a good one. JcPenny has come a long way I turning things around. I wish they carried better on trend clothes as well as closet staples for young adult women but I can see that they are trying. The prices are always great!

Thank goodness the police were not around because I could have been arrested for smacking a customer across the face. It was the ShoppingTrip From Hell. I love Penney's. Have always loved Penney's. my Ex-boyfriend worked at Penney's. Penney's and I go way back. I love their prices, the selection, Sephora- I love it all. This time, though, things were different. Went there to buy a pair of men's gloves. There was no one there to wait on me. Once I found the glove section, it was every man for themselves. Difficult to find prices, hard to determine if these were the only men's gloves or were there more elsewhere else in the store. Finally found a decent pair and that's where the fun started. There were five registers, two cashiers and a line that snaked well into the men's section. One CSR walked past the cashiers, saw the long line and walked away. I asked her if she could help and she told me she was "Going to lunch." Made me furious and I remarked about her attitude. A customer in line started getting smart with me and defending the CSR leaving. Let's just say it wasn't pretty. 20 minutes we waited in line. I was a Tasmanian Devil when I finally got to the register. The cashier was so nice that she managed to calm me down. There is no excuse for lazy workers, long lines and lack of customer care. Get better at this, Penney's!
