I then had it towed to Certified Transmission where Manager, Chris, had it evaluated. He said it only needed an A shift solenoid, $1100! “My pastor recommended Christian Brothers Automotive after bringing my car to 4 different mechanics including the Kia dealership who was unwilling to diagnose beyond checking for a code (which did not show up, along with no check engine light). After weeks of no solution, hopping from one mechanic to another, and signs that my car was performing worse, I was pretty discouraged. However, from the very first phone conversation with Christian Brothers I was met with exceptional customer service, a friendly demeanor and an inquisitive interaction that made me feel as though this place actually cared about helping to find a solution to my problem. I walked in and witnessed a guest finishing up her transaction and I could tell that she was so pleased with their services. From that point on, I was convinced that I was at the right place. Both reps at the desk were friendly and created a comfortable atmosphere while I explained my car issues. The diagnostic that I received via text was so incredibly detailed and was organized by priority of repair. Not once did I feel like I was being sold something that I didn’t need. Most importantly, they found the issue! My car was finished days earlier than expected (parts had to be ordered but they arrived quickly) and so that was a pleasant surprise. Once repairs were completed and I turned the corner to drive away, I felt like I had a brand new car. I went from feeling like I was driving through sludge to flying (safely) down the street, light as a feather! And my gas mileage is back to normal. My relief and joy was palpable! I cannot recommend these guys enough. Matter of fact, a friend of mine will be dropping her car off there in the coming days. “I went to Midas after being told by Big O tires that my car needed several hundred dollars worth of work. Midas looked at my car and said nothing was wrong. The tech even took me to the car while it was on the lift and talked me through the mechanics to make sure I was satisfied with and understood their diagnosis. They didn't even charge me for the time spent on my car and with me. I can always trust Midas to be honest! Midas is not as convenient for me as Big O Tires but I will only go to Midas for all future needs!! Thank you Midas for outstanding customer service!!”
