“I had a wonderful first-time western apparel shopping experience with George, Patty (the owners) and their staff. Extremely friendly, hospitable and helpful staff guiding me through all the intrinsics of western clothing. I found their prices to be really good and they even had some additional offers on boots, shirts and belts among things.
While I ended up buying my first Steteson hat at their outlet store in Joseph, next time around I'll buy it from George and Patty. Also look forward to buy my next set of Ariat boots from them when I come to visit Kansas City.
While it's a small store, they have a big selection and they are more than happy to order home anything you want at a competitive price.”

If you have ever had dressing-room-dread, this will be a healing place for you. “We love Kristina and the store because they care enough about the customer to keep things fresh, new, interesting, and plentiful! The store is vibrant and buzzing with energy all the time! But the best time is if you're shopping for something related to Hometown Spirit or local team love. They have entire rooms of Royals and Chiefs merch, but there's also things for ku, k-state, lots of local high schools, including some of the private Catholic schools which is kind of challenging stuff to come by unless you are buying directly from a booster club! I challenge anyone to walk in the store and not walk out buying something. If anything I think it can feel a little overwhelming to people because there's so many cool things. But that's also a really good thing because this means there is no one and nothing like this store in the Kansas City area. You're going to want to go out of your way to drive over here, Trust me. Bring the birthday list and the whole Christmas list. You're welcome.”
“I live in Texas and ordered a pair of Anderson Bean Ostrich boots online from Nigro's. I had some questions about them and everyone I talked to on the phone was very pleasant. I also had a custom request where I needed the boot straps dyed a different color. Most stores would have told me "no way," but David Nigro, Jr. was happy to dye them for me before shipping out. I got them today and they are beautiful boots, exactly as expected. I will definitely be back to buy more boots in the future!”

I came around a $10 Fleetwood Mac record and haven't snatched something up so fast before. “MADI is a high-quality shop with a heart-driven mission and one of my favorite spaces to spend time in Kansas City, when I used to live there. The owner welcomed me in by letting me know the shop is based on the premise of making a difference. Everything the store was based on was a manifestation for me to have found: organic clothing, pure plant dyes, devotion to proper pay for people. MADI is a gem, and I shop their online store now since I live in Florida. Their purpose deserves above-and-beyond gratitude. I have two pairs of their silk shorts! This shop is the best!”

“The people that work there and the location I see lots of different kinds of people go in and shop. I’m at the store a lot to see the new deals and products they have coming in and the people that work there are AWESOME, when I’m there I’m usually helped by Jose who’s absolutely the best! Everyone that goes in is treated like a friend by all the people that work there! I have friendly conversations with everyone there while I’m shopping which is nice and refreshing. I shop here mainly for me and my son (who’s 7) he loves the vans store and all the “cool shirts and shoes” (basically his whole closet) we love vans!”

“Yesterday I shopped at the cutest boutique, Addie Rose. I love their unique styles and sizes for not only the lucky who are 5’5 and over but also 5’2 littles like myself. The sales associate , who happens to be the manager, Megan, was very friendly, and took the time too help me find exactly what I was looking for my event. The stylist at my favorite boutique, Frankie & Jules, recommended that I visit this “neighbor” boutique. This says a lot to me that a boutique speaks highly of another. And from my understanding the admiration goes both ways. Excellent, quality clothing, both trendy and classic styles, superior customer service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere are reasons why I plan on being a return customer to Addie Rose Boutique. “Found some shorts that fit me very well but I was literally sweating bullets in the fitting rooms. I thought it was because i was coming from walking in the heat. I was so flustered and overwhelmed by the heat that I didn’t even finish trying on the clothes i had. When I got to the front the employees were offering water bottles and they had fans going, that’s when I realized the AC was out. I was amazed by the employees unwavered and positive attitudes. The two guys at the register were incredibly kind and apologetic. As I was leaving I heard them mention this was the 3rd summer in a row this has happened.
No customer wants to shop or try on clothes in the heat. The employees should not have to work like that either but they did so with a smile on their face. They are the only reason I’m not leaving a 1 star review”

“All 5 stars go directly to the customer service desk last night! I was dropping off a number of Amazon returns, along with a pillow I had purchased at the store a few weeks earlier. Each Amazon item required a different QR code scan, and they were taken care of quickly and efficiently. Then on to the pillow... We had purchased a number of pillows for visitors recently from other stores and I bought myself a new one from Kohls. I had accidentally put the Kohl's pillow into a bag from one of the other pillows. The woman at the customer service desk tried scanning the pillow a couple times to no success. She then looked up to see if they even sold that brand. When I said I may have used the wrong bag, she opened it up, and tried to find something that identified it as a Kohl's product. Another associate came over and found on the tag that it was, but no identifier of which pillow it was. They then called back and had two additional associates start looking for pillows that met the physical description of the pillow. After a short wait, they appear with two pillows, one of which matched and they completed the return. I was gobsmacked! Who puts this much effort into a single item return? And not even a big ticket item. Just wow!”
“I like the clothes, but the earrings sets wear quickly and bend easily. Also, the clothing style has significantly changed. Hot topic used to be full of gothic, emo, and punk clothes and accessories, but it now mostly anime and cartoons.”
