I live in Wichita, but I try to purchase all of my candles from Waxman Candles. They are the best on the market scent and quality wise. The employees are always so thoughtful and kind, even when purchasing online, they have a way of making me feel valued and appreciated. I have sent their candles on to our family in Ireland and the locals in their village always go on and on about THE famous candles from Kansas and ask me to bring some over whenever I visit.
I highly recommend this business and their wonderful products. I always support small and local because of the personalization and quality. This is a great company.

Saddened that someone felt this place deserved a 1 star review. I literally will not buy candles anywhere else since I've smelled their scents. There are no other candles like waxman! I can't handle bath and body works and yankee because their scents are just too artificial smelling and cheaply made to me. Definitely worth it to stock up with waxman or to make the trip to Lawrence to smell all the wonderful, handmade candles.

Save your money and buy bath and bodywork candles. The candles here are extremely overpriced, burn really fast, and have little scent (even the “triple scented”). You get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Waxman is a fantastic local shop. Seasonal candles, so plan to come in throughout the year to see what creative candles are made. Make great gifts. Seriously, they have every type of candle for every occasion and holiday, and selection of specialty and handmade creations.

Packages from this great business smell divine. It's like opening a box of joy. Everything is carefully, professionally packed and labeled as well. Their candles remain the highest quality I know of, after ~25 years of being a customer. Wonderful place.

What an amazing store and learning the history of the store and how everything is all handmade. This store is absolute beautiful and these people are true artists to their crafts. Overall this store is clean, the prices are fair, the imagination of ideas is endless here with their selection. Great selection of seasonal gifts!

This is THE place. The atmosphere is homey, climate just right, and always full of smiles. I've NEVER had a bad day here. I drive from Oklahoma just for their candles and staff. Fragrant and creative you can find ANY candle need plus here. My kids even got to watch candles made and dip their own which made their trip! 1million out of 5 would be back and spend all my time knowing I'm well loved
