I went to the Sally's on University in West Des Moines yesterday and WOW I must say I had a great customer experience! I needed some help picking out which product and tools would best meet my needs and I must say the guy that was working (I really wish I would have gotten a name) was soooo knowledgeable, helpful and friendly!! I can't remember the last time I've gotten such great customer service anywhere lately to be honest. I appreciated it very much! Do what you can to keep him around. What a great asset!

I checked their hours online, then drove all the way out there. and they had a note on the door saying they close 1 hour earlier.

I keep hoping this store will get new management. After many visits I realize that there is no possibility that l can feel being welcome in this place. The vibe is very uncomfortable and you can feel the tension throughput the store. Bad energy and poor business standards. From now on I will go to the Jordan creek location.

Website says open until 8; we had a hair emergency and the owner locked the door in my face at 6:57 and said WERE CLOSED. I hope they shut down.

Manager was rude and was getting frustrated and angry because we needed assistance with figuring out hair dye color. She seemed bothered. Not good customer service at all. Also, not a good selection and enough selection for hair dye.

We were today at 540pm on 8/14/22. My wife, her mom and daughter were there looking for hair extensions and hair coloring products. The young girl who worked there was very helpful and forthcoming. But this is a 1 star review so you understand it was a negative experience. The lady who represented herself as the store manager was completely opposite her employee. The lady followed them around the small store where there is minimal possibility of not being caught stealing. This really indicates possible racist emotions since we are very obviously Hispanic. Not only because we look it but most of our conversations with my Mil are usually had in spanish. The younger employee attempted to assist, but the manager only cared about getting them out so she could close. My wife felt like she was almost being pushed out. Considering the fact that they were not impolite and were at the location while they were still open, this is unacceptable. I challenge corporate to review the surveillance video for that day.

Sally’s is a place to get anything. I would highly recommend not asking the staff there for coloring advice unless you know they are professionals. Sally’s color is no different from box color. I love the store tho. They are friendly and helpful!

deserves negative stars, employees know nothing and should not be allowed to give advice. if you don’t know how to help just say that. also called in today for a refund and got hung up on mid sentence lol what a joke

Update 9/4/2021. Husband went into this store today to look for butterfly clips, and Crystal was very rude to him, I just want to say if you don't like your job find a new one, you are in customer service for a reason and one of the reasons is not to be a total j**** Even the look he got going in was mean, hun I don't think customer service is for you. Honestly, this store needs all new workers and management, Was in the store a few months ago asked for a product for my husband's hair. Was watched like a dog the workers are up in the front talking not so quit about you. And staring you down because you are an interracial couple. We are not coming to this one again due to the workers. Are very rude. We will drive over to Altoona for what we need

Just left this store and was told to get out by the manager because I didn't want to give them my email information. When I asked what happens if an older person doesn't have one she said no discount even if you're licensed, which I have been for 40 years.Obviously she never stood behind a chair for a minute, never been treated so disrespectful in my life!
