I love this store, especially the staff. Just when you think customer service is dead, this crew restores your faith in humanity. They are always kind and helpful and go out of their way to provide great customer service. The other family named local hardware store could and should learn a thing or two from Huffmans.

After I walked out of another locally owned hardware store after receiving appalling service that left me upset and extremely frustrated, I promptly called Huffman's and they helped me with an issue I was having with picking up my rental. After the other place could not simply solution it in a simple, polite way that I would expect, I now had the assistance of 3 lovely young women at Huffman's who went to work and got me exactly what I needed. I had to be a little patient. I was willing to do that. Within an hour they secured me my rental and I was on my way. It changed everything for me that day. They turned a potentially horrible day into a beautiful one. So to the women who worked the rental desk in back of Huffman's - you were my hero this past Thursday. I think all of you were FABULOUS, kind, and killer at your job. I know I told you that numerous times, but I want everyone else that I got wonderful service here, and to know that there are other, better options than another family named business in town. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

If you can't find hardware or plumbing supplies in Fort Madison. Don't forget Huffmans. They will most likely have it.

Can't remember the cashier's name, but she is the rudest cashier I've met in a while. Humorless & willing to humiliate customers. If she hates her job that much maybe she should retire & volunteer at an animal shelter.

Always rude, horrible service and way over priced. I try going here but everytime I regret it. My mother bought a sander from then when she got home it didn't work straight from the box recommended by the worker. She went to return it and they were mad stating that she should of plugged it in before she left. I thought the point of a service is to give that service not get mad over faulty products. She got a refund and we refuse to shop here. This isn't the first time

You can generally find what you need and there staff is friendly. These stores are well organized and clean. I prefer to go here instead of one of the bigger farm stores because of convenience and organization and being a locally owned small business.
