Pickup was seamless
Drop off was a nightmare- arrived at 4:56pm and no one was at the counter to check the car in and there wasn't a sign indicating the counter was closed . Waited 20 minutes but had to go check a bag and go through TSA. There isn't time for waiting these days. Called the counter at 5:40pm, 6pm and 6:34pm while waiting at the gate and no answer. Can't recommend a company that has this kind of service, we are at an airport after all.

I was about to rent a minivan. But the lady abandoned the counter and the manager who replaced her told me to kick rocks.

Rented through a third party. Had to give flight info, so I thought there would not be a problem. Counter CLOSES at 6 pm!!!! Had to pay over $50 for an Uber and get a family member to drive us back the next day. So many hours and dollars wasted.
We're returning for another funeral this week and WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT rent from them. It's no surprise that their rates are lower, it's impossible to get a car!

Car was clean but have been trying to call for the past 2 days to ask about a possible forgotten item and no one has answered the 10 times I’ve tried to call. Pretty useless to have a number you don’t answer

DO NOT RENT from this location because the counter closes at 6pm! If your Flight is delayed for any reason you are screwed! No call no one to meet you at the counter for late pick up. Choose another rental car company. Very Unfortunate and very disappointing and lost a day of rental fees

Booked through my work travel portal, wish I would have read some reviews. Got into the airport to find out they closed at 6, and noone will rent you a car after hours. I rent all over the country, this is the 1st time I have ran into this issue. Usually the hours are reported correctly to our travel portal.

Even though I returned my rental car with a full tank (I filled it right before returning it), they still reported it as not full and charged me over 90 dollars. I called multiple times to fix the error, but the manager at this office (Mina Thakoor) never got back to me. I even took a photo of my fuel gauge before returning it (as well as my receipt from the gas station), so I have proof. I don't know if this is their usual tactic to rip off customers or a mere mistake, but they do not bother calling back to a customer for a mistake they made.

I see that another reviewer reported the same issue before, so fraudulent fuel charging at this location is not uncommon. This greatly undermines my trust in Hertz. What's the point of being a Gold member?

Regarding the response from the owner below, I already left more than a couple of messages directly to you and also contacted the customer service. If you are truly the owner of the location, you have all my information (including the rental information as well as contact number), so contact me directly and remove the overcharge. I have been trying to get hold of you for the last five days, but no response. Then I see your reply to this review without any explanation or solution. What kind of customer service is this?

Longest wait for a pre rented car ever. With processes streamlined in most industries, this process of picking up a prepaid car is ridiculous.

I was overcharged when renting a car from your Des Moines, Iowa branch. I have not received a timely response from customer service. This has severely affected my trust in Hertz's services, and I will no longer be using Hertz for my rental car needs. Please address the billing and customer service issues to prevent other customers from having similar experiences.

Do NOT book a car through this location. They refuse to answer their phone for customers and Expedia. The airport staff and staff at the other agencies state this location continuously leaves customers stranded. They should be closed, Expedia should dicontinue recommending as a rental option, shame on Hertz for letting them use their name.
