I had an emergency come up so I called to cancel my order the man told me “ I have already printed out the shipping label but let me talk to my manager and see if we can refund you, if I call you back we had a problem on our end if I don’t that’s is good news and it’ll take 2 business days for the refund” 3 days later and I haven’t gotten my refund or a call, so I called, just to find out the shipped it anyway which will take more then a week for me to get it and send it back……

online order took forever, ordered 8/21/21 and its not ready for pick up till 9/4/24, secondly the customer service rep Kristen is NOT friendly, Kristen was quick to defer me to go see another rep when she is not doing anything, but she is quick to argued with me, I am a paying customer, I am not begging for food or merchandise. I am only asking where do I pick my order., *** on 10/05/2024 *** the drama continues ... so the part I ordered above was wrong due to no fault of mine, I ordered a 5" dryer duct adapter, they gave me a 6" adapter, the clerk wants to charge me a 10% restocking fee, clearly my paperwork and the sticker on the parts says 5", and they want to me to pay restocking fees for giving me the wrong part, Josh the manager came to aid but he got the nerve to pull out a measuring tape to make sure what I said is valid, and Josh also said well you could of squeeze it or force it to make it an inch smaller, said something like that, WOW, unbelievable Menard.

You all need to have the kid at the checkout lane slow down. He's checking my stuff and it's piling up on the person in front of me. Then he checks out the guy behind me and his stuff is piling up on my stuff before I've even got my receipt.

The Cashier Emily was rude and not personable. I did not get greeted when I was checking out or get told what my total was. She had an attitude and had said something rude when I was walking away.

Very disappointed. Went in to get a chandelier just now @1pm 4th of July for our new house and a guy with dark hair about 6 foot tall kinda chubby looks like he’s in his early 30’s told me the chandelier I liked they had no more in stalk and that he “could” send me to a different location or he could grab a “ladder” and get that one down for me that they had on display. When I told him if he could get that one down for me (because I didn’t want to drive across town if I could get this one) he looked very displeased and after it was taken down my husband asked him if they could put it in a box and he said “NOPE”….. my husband asked again and said “you guys can’t at least put it in any other box for us and he said “yea these don’t come in boxes so I don’t think we can get a box for it, I could see if we have one but these don’t come in boxes…..”????? Very disappointed. We ended up leaving and not purchasing it.

I shop this specific Menards frequently for my real estate business needs as well as my personal home & garden needs. Whenever I submit the 11% rebate receipts I am promptly sent a check which I greatly appreciate. I recently took on a “dirt kitchen” project for my toddler, soon to be pre-school granddaughter. So many products, odds & ends I needed for this to make it the hands on discovery learning play experience I wanted for her. I was able to find everything I needed at this store & all of it including the wood was extremely reasonable. Appreciate the staff here. Thank you Menards!

Very rude customer service. I asked 2 guys to help me with the product they both said we are busy you have to call someone for help. I am very disappointed after spending good amount of money. Will never come. Will go to grimes for sure. They are always nice and try to help you.

I special ordered a top vanity sink for my bathroom from the Clive (Iowa) Menards. When it arrived, I did not notice any issues. Once it was installed by a contractor, it was found to be cracked and a small hole in the bottom of the sink, causing both sides to leak. I called the Clive Menards store said they will replace the vanity. They said once the new vanity arrives, they will exchange it for the old one, but the old one cannot be brought into the store before the new one arrives. Once the new vanity arrived, I had to hire the same contractor back out to uninstall the old and then install the new vanity, costing approx. $380.00. I went into the Clive Menards store and the pluming associate stated I needed to fill out a form titled “INSTALLED GUEST COMPLAINT FORM” and mail to corporate to be refunded the labor for the reinstall. There is no email or fax, you have to fill out this form and mail it in, so that already raised my suspicions (Obviously they are hoping to discourage you from doing the work of mailing it in and you dealing with the issue).

I went into the Clive Menards store, asked for a manager and I was told the General Manager would speak with me. A lady named Michaella (Spelling may be wrong) arrived and I informed her of my issue. She was polite and calm but showed zero sympathy. Below is a summary of our conversation:
Michaella stated they cannot refund anything related to labor or materials. I stated per this letter, Menards is assuming every product they sell, the owner is assumed to know how to install it. Michaella stated, "We are a do it yourself store, but we don't assume you know how to do it all yourself". I replied, "So I am out the $380.00 because I don't know how to install the vanity and did not see the it was broken beforehand?" Michaella stated if I had to broken vanity with me, maybe a discount could be added but since my current vanity is installed with no issues (I informed her of this earlier), nothing can be done. As I stated earlier, I was told I could not bring in my broken vanity until my new one arrived, so there was no way for me to get a discount. Whether Michaella knew this or straight up lied to me, I don't know, but I will assume she did not know.
Menards’ website states, "Menards does things right - our strength and success can also be seen in the well-stocked and maintained stores, the lowest prices in town, and the way customers are always treated like family in a local, hometown hardware store atmosphere." If this is how they treat their family, wow! They sold me a broken vanity and assumed I knew how to uninstall and return it. I should not be penalized for their faulty products and the labor to uninstall it to be returned. They have no customer service phone number, you have to email them, so that tells you something in itself.
I will never set foot inside another Menards again, which is very sad to say based on this experience. Unless you are a contractor or know how to install/uninstall what you are purchasing, be very careful because Menards and the Clive store will not care if something goes wrong.

Service is good but they need more express checkouts and they need to do something about the terrible exit/intersection. There’s no lines drawn, it’s hard to get out of there with all of the semi traffic, and the lights are still hanging on wires.

Really poor service in every department today. Felt like I was in the employees way, only one offered any help. I’m done here, buying the rest of my remodel supplies at Lowe’s.

Inventory management is a problem here. The people are helpful. I will never bring my children here because they do not practice forklift safety.
