Two of my grandchildren attend Clive Children's Center II. As someone who has worked in Childcare, I am appalled by some of the things I hear and what I notice when picking them up. They come home filthy dirty every day! One day one of them came home in someone else's clothing, no explanation as to why he wasn't wearing hís own clothes. The children don't get to or have their hands washed before they eat. One of my grandchildren have been put on a special high protein, high calorie diet by an endocrinologist/dietician. The center and director refuse to abide by the dieticians instructions! Injuries happen and there is no mention until questioned when a new bruise, scrape, or cut shows up on their bodies (obviously not the everyday bumps and bruises).

I am so sick of this place, I moved my son here from shinning stars daycare in pleasant hill (which is a great center) when he was 7 months old. I had to switch centers because I moved to valley junction. Horrible mistake! My baby is now 11 months old and I was going to take him out of this place about 2 months ago due to the care or lack of care I should say. I found a new center put my 2 week notice in and the director asked me to talk with her I addressed my concerns, which were about how dirty it always is, the lack of interaction, the cussing, the girls on their phones while they are to be caring for children, how there is never anything filled out on the daily sheets about how my child was throughout the day, feedings, diaper changes, one day I picked him up and his diaper was literally only covering half of his butt! There were other concerns as well but she begged me to let her correct this and prove that things will be different. I caved and agreed but today was it! They need to be closed down! I wish I had the parents numbers of the other babies in the infant room. I picked my son up at 545 today walked in the infant room my son was in his crib sniffiling while asleep, another baby was crying in a bouncy seat while 2 girls were in there laughing having a great time on there phones eating cake! I asked how long Maxx had been asleep and the response was oh he's been asleep for awhile now, I asked if they let him cry until he passed out? Response was yes hes had a hard day.... keep in mind this other poor baby is crying his little heart out with no attention! And the other girl is still on her phone! I got my son looked at his daily sheet and last bottle was at noon! Really people?? I was so mad I was shaking. On the way to the car the asst director asked me if everything was ok? ABSOULTY NOT! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! She talked with me I addressed my feelings but it is just pointless! I would rather quit my job then send my child back to that abusive neglecting place. Please trust and believe me DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD THERE! IN FACT IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE THAT HAS A BABY THERE TELL THEM TO FIND SOME PLACE ELSE ASAP!Michelle Sikes.

When I was running late dropping my child off, I tried to call them ahead of time to let them know. They would never answer there phone. I even left voice messages. A few times they would not let me leave my baby there so I had to miss work. I even showed them where I called and they said they couldn't do anything about it.

My daughter used to work here and take her son here. The place is always dirty and smelling. They barley follow their "codes". My grandson had several accidents and no one bothered to fill out a report or tell us (like they are required to) He actually told us and he's not even 2 yet. They are always losing items. One day my daughter had to go into the center and personally search the place for my grandsons shoe, which was in another Childs' cubby. The staff watched her search and was very unhelpful to say the least. The staff run the daycare the "supervisor" is never there, and when she is... the staff run the daycare. Most of The staff is nice. The last day I brought my grandson here was a while ago. I had dropped him off in the morning and he was very unhappy and crying. He sat on the floor of the 2 years old room with toys. I left and got about a block away before my emotions got to me. When I went back to check up, he was still sitting in the middle of the floor screaming crying, face beat red and tears flowing. The staff? they were all sitting together in the kitchen eating, talking, and completely ignoring my 1 year old grandson. (who btw was the only child in the room!!!) The fears of a daycare came true before my eyes. I snapped. On all of them. Im writing this review so people know. This is not a good center at all. I will be contacting the owners as well. -Kelly

This center is very cozy. The next best thing to an in-home. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they love the kids. The supervisor is very helpful and always goes above and beyond to meet the parents' standards of quality care. They have a wonderful new assistant director. Other than the new assistant, the rest of that staff has been there for quite awhile. I would recommend you give this center a try :)
