Sign on doors is open till five, I pulled in at 4:50 and the doors were locked. Frustrating.

I believe the ladies at the register said he was the owner. He might have been the manager. It was also stated that he had 30 or so years of electrical experience. However, he made things right even though he was highly upset about it.My wife went in and bought a 20amp breaker for the house. When she got home, I looked at it and noticed it was not brand new but used. The bakelite was broken around the wire housing screw. The words printed on the breaker or etched into it were worn down. Some of it was not readable. At first, he argued, and eventually, after some reassurance that I wasn't trying to scam him out of the cost of a breaker. He reluctantly gave us a different unused breaker.

Drove way out of my way to shop here today, spent and hour loading my cart with items only to find out their credit card machine doesn't work! And by the looks of it it hasn't worked in a while. Was told to go get cash but my bank is in a different state and I'm not paying high atm fees just bc they don't know how to take credit cards any other way(lots of online options for businesses nowadays - Square is one of them). Walked out with nothing after wasting my time and gas. Will never be back.

A little bit of everything you'd expect from a small town hardware store. Really good variety and prices. Owner is very helpful and even let me borrow an electric drill for a quick small project in lieuof purchasing one. Won't get this service at a big box store.

They were really nice but only accepted cash so I couldn't buy what I needed. I'm sure it was probably a temporary problem but it is what it is, and I had to go elsewhere to get what I needed. I was glad because it saved me $9.

Best place to go in Chariton for your hardware needs they are friendly and helpful and if they don't have it they'll try and order it for you.

I like the guy with the mustache, he’s very helpful and chill and the other employee is pretty cool too. I rented the concrete drill from them and they helped me with my chain saw. Great hardware store to shop at,
