Fake is right!!! This place is a joke! I don't like to write bad review but this one I can't say no to. Talked to a guy name Alex. Dude nothing but fake. Response time 24hrs later or none. Dude don't give a damn about you or your time. He will tell you 1 minute this car is available and 2 minutes later is pending. Two hours later available. Was about to make a 3 hrs trip to see the car and was told by fake dude Alex is pending again. WTF? I wish I'd came here and read about them first before trying to deal with them. Big waste of time.

AAD Equipment Cargo is one of their other dba names...I tried to buy a car online from American Auto sales (Alex), the deal was not going smoothly & I asked to speak to several other people like finance, a sales mgr etc but had such poor communications I decided to check their online reviews & good thing I did...sad I didn't get the car though, a real beauty but this guy just didn't sound right, buyers beware of a deal that's to-good-to-be-true because it probably is...

SCAM!! BEWARE!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALER!!! This business does not do online sales. If you find a vehicle for sale by this dealer on Autotrader.com, Cars.com, Carfax.com, Cargurus.com or any other online car listing website, do not engage. They have ported phone numbers and fake e-mail addresses to make it appear they are legitimate, but they are not. If you attempt to see a vehicle in-person they will not show for the meeting and will not respond to calls or e-mails. If you ask to have a vehicle shipped they will require you to wire the money before shipment, but the car will never show and they will not respond to calls or e-mails. Your money will be gone. I have reported this group to the state attorney's general in Iowa, Kansas and Colorado, as well as the FBI.

Drove 4 hours to look at a car that was supposed to be white and in good condition. It was in terrible condition. The dealer was completly dishonest with me. The car was a gross cream color and visually did not look good from the outside. Inside was supposed to be a clean interior and it wasn't. There were burn holes in the seat, multiple gauges were broken, the whole car smelled like a cigarette AND it was dirty. Just wanted the money and doesn't care about the customers. 100% will never visit again and would never recommend this place to anyone. Any other place is better than American Auto sales. Complete and utter disappointment. Enough said
