I was multiple billed I actually ended up with 4 billings, the car wasn't clean with food left in it. Customer service was not helpful or understanding. I will never rent from them ever again. BEWARE!!! I called CS atleast 10 times and the last person told me maybe it's best you handle it with your credit card company and hung up, all this after a two week rental. The worker that took my key Anthony vanished after I got a notification that I had been billed, I jumped out my car at the airport trying to catch him to correct this only for a police officer to pull up and attempt to write me a fat ticket. After all this I wasn't so much as offered a discount for my troubles and CS was no help because I could barely understand the language.

I got here late after a crazy day and Juwana was so nice and friendly and went out of her way to help! Even though I didn’t have a reservation she accommodated me under extenuating circumstances. I’m glad she works there rare to find such good customer service with rentals.

The check in and check out process went seamless!! Both men were very friendly. The vehicle a Subaru Outback was great!! Especially gas mileage. We will definitely use them again.

I rented a Chevy Tahoe for business purposes. The car I received had a check oil soon indicator displayed which I noted to the desk agent when I picked up. They told me it would be fine and that when maintenanced it was likely they didn't reset the indicator. After driving the car 30 min down the road, the low tire pressure indicator came on and the tire was decreasing in psi 28 and then 27. I had to stop at a gas station and purchase a tire gage so I could put air in (30 min stop on my way to a meeting). It had been snowing when I picked up the car so when it dried off, I tried to use wiper fluid to clear the front & rear windows...no wiper fluid at all. When I returned the car, I told the front desk agent about these issues, with which he wrote nothing down. When I asked for a receipt for my transaction, I was told this location is paperless and that a receipt would be emailed to me. I dropped off at 9:30a...it's now 1:12p and still no receipt...I have to expense this for business purposes. Is this the worst experience, no. Was it a complete hassle partnering with Avis while trying to conduct work...yes! Business folks...don't waste your time it's not worth the hassle or time you will spend just trying to get from point A to point B.

Tires were completely worn. Driving the car in icy wet conditions was very dangerous. Nobody was there when I dropped off the vehicle. At pick up time I asked for an SUV. I was told there are none. I got a Subaru with FL license plates and what appeared to be extremely worn summer tires.

The airport location was fast and courteous and a much better experience then I get when traveling to so many other airports around the country.

Great experience with Avis at SBN more than once! Counter reps are friendly, professional and accommodating! Cars are easy to locate and return and clean as a whistle!

Rented car Thursday night 27th at 6pm..returned the car Friday morning around 11am. They were busy and told be to put in drop box. They never took keys out and processed return until 8:09 pm thus charging me another day on rental. Had I not checked my credit card, they would have stolen another 100 bucks from me. AND I never received a final receipt as agent promised when I put keys in drop box on countertop.

Do NOT rent from Avis. I had a TERRIBLE experience with their South Bend Itnl Airport, South Bend IN. office. They gave me (at 9:30pm) a fully electric car, without asking/informing/instructing me. It was a nightmare trying to exchange the car (they refused) or find a charging station in the tiny rural town where I stayed. Repeated calls to customer service (and emails) were treated with dismissal by them. STAY AWAY FROM AVIS!!!

Went to rent a car and the system was causing a lot of issues. Anthony M was working the counter (alone) and doing a great job not only managing the frustrated customers, but also navigating the issues to help get everyone a car. He was cool and calm under pressure.

The agent had messed up my reservation but refused to admit it. I was trying to explain what I thought had gone wrong and he just got snippier and snippier, practically rolling his eyes at me. When I finally got the car, it smelled of smoke, but I was already late and wasn't going to go back in there to deal with it. I returned the car on time, but a few days later got a text that I had never returned the car and was going to be charged for additional days!Turns out he had opened two contracts and only closed one of them.Customer Service was very efficient and helpful, though.

If I could give this place negative stars I freaking would.Let me paint you a picture. Im driving home from illinois ready to hop in a rented 12 passenger van with my whole family and road trip it to disney world. My niece and nephews are soooo excited to get to ride in the big van with everyone and experience disney for the first time. My parents head up to south bend airport avis to pick up the van they secured MONTHS ago. Only to be told they have no vans and that the manager should have notified them the day before. Well guess what, he or she did not notify anyone AND my parents recieved emails up until 8am this morning confirming their van was ready. TOTAL B.S. So now i have 3 kids crying their eyes out because we are not able to ride together, disappointed parents who just wanted the full road trip experience while we can have it and a very unapologetic Avis. On top of that, they didnt offer to give us 2 vehicles to rent or any kind of alternative . Just money back and it wont be processed until 10/19. Do not use Avis. And pay attention to the ratings listed. I think their 2.7 stars is super generous. You can expect to see this review on all social media platforms as well. If we can save another family this hardship, at least something good will come out of this experience.

The car I initially received smelled like smoke and was dirty. I went to trade it a couple of days later as I couldn't stand the smell. I was given another car without problems. The replacement car was the same model but smelled a lot better.The line goes kind of slow as they seem short handed. It seems that they should have a better system for Avis Preferred members.

Never use Avis at the SB Airport. The only car they had after a 3 week reservation. Please look at the photos, the agent said I don’t clean the cars and his attitude was and I don’t care!

My flight was delayed and I arrived at the Avis desk at 10 minutes after midnight to find no one there. That left me stranded trying to get to my hotel with no way to get to my 8 AM meeting. I had two Uber drivers cancel before finally getting one to respond because my hotel was in Michigan, I got a ride back to the airport the next day to get a rent car and I asked the lady at the desk what their policy was regarding light flights. She told me as long as the flight information was in my reservation that they wait until the flight comes in, my flight information was in my reservation. They need to remove the sign next to the desk because it means nothing, see the picture attached. This is no way to treat a Presidents club member that rents a car from Avis 365 days per year. If I could leave negative stars, I would write a negative 5 star. I missed an entire day of work because this location could care less about its customers.
