Cristy M did a great job assisting my Mom with her accounts. She took her time and explained everything clearly. The only thing that was off-putting was that the bankers are all standing in the lobby when you walk in the front door. It's like they're waiting to pounce on you. We found it intimidating.

Iv'e been a member since 1974. However the days of being able to pick up a phone and speak to somebody are gone. They never had competitive rates for loans, mortgages, etc but now the gap has widened to the point of not doing business with Everwise. Sad day for me.

Everwise Credit Union practices terrible security practices for their online bill portal. When setting a password, their website will NOT let you copy and paste a password. This makes it particularly difficult to use a password manager which is the recommended minimum for cyber security in our modern day. This has been the recommended security practice for over a decade, but Everwise never got that notice.I would highly recommend using an alternative credit union since this company doesn't respect the security of your accounts. It makes it very simple for keyloggers to gather your information and thus access your accounts without your permission. There's no two-factor authentication, and therefore it's super easy to access your account.

I recently decided to discontinue my membership at 1st source bank for several reasons. I did a little research online and figured out that TCU was a option for me so I decided to stop into the Main Street branch to see about opening up a new checking/savings account there. Long story short, it was a great choice to do so and here's why. I walked in and was immediately greeted with a friendly welcome from Alivia, one of the employees that works there. She was very helpful and nice and made the whole experience/process easy and comfortable. I even received a thoughtful welcoming letter from her in the mail which even more so confirmed the fact that I made a great decision to join the Teachers Credit Union for my personal banking needs.

Noticed a finance charge on my checking account for no apparent reason. Turns out the started a new policy that debits of $5 or less does not qualify for a 'debit' toward their debit bank account. That is all we use the debit card for is small change purchases so canceled the account. Still have one account with them and they redid their website and it is horrible (I am a programmer). Using the go back to dashboard button goes to a grey screen and thus logs you out. I have 4 phone numbers on the account that they populated with info. I cannot change or delete two of the because the delete/remove does not work. Furthermore there is no way to find your tax documents for the accounts you have either. Not impressed.

Do not do buisness with this bank. They are behind on the times and are predatory. Go to a different bank that can offer a safe overdraft opportunity such as notifying to pay off by days end unlike any offer TCU can (Chase for example) . Highly do not recommend.

MUST READ: I have had an account for over 20 years. Never a late payment, never an issue, and an error occurred where they reported my account 3 months in a row delinquent, and it has now prevented me from being able to refinance my loan for a lower percentage, which would save my family 400.00 a month...all of this during COVID. They REFUSE to just write a letter explaining the situation and my good standing with TCU. They are not a loyal company, so do not trust your money or investments with them.

Truly appalling service and even more concerning levels of poor organization from this company. I have been absolutely floored by the incompetence and inconsideration this company has exemplified. My husband's dilemma was a direct mistake of TCU and took initial effort, not of the company, but of the customer, to complain on social media to get any recognition. This completely unnecessary debacle had to be dealt with by a 28 year old son grieving the sudden death of his father. You should be totally ashamed. TCU transferred the loan amount of Nathan's deceased father's car into Nathan's name, but not the title, so Nathan owed TCU money, but couldn't drive the car. TCU f***** up this painful process so bad, a TCU agent had to physically go INTO a BMV branch to explain how they messed up so badly in order to get the title in Nathan's name. It took him complaining on FB to even get attention to the issue. He spent probably two months just being transferred around the company and being hung up on. So they took forever to finally get the title registered in his name (literal months) and the car just sat there and couldn't be driven. Since the car sat for so long, it has all these issues now and they refuse to give him any kind of compensation for repairs. No, I'm sorry, they offered him $200, which is a slap in the face.
