My shop purchased a brand new laser lock chief frame measuring system years ago that was installed and purchased by an authorized dealer in my area. Our shop is a very small family run collision repair shop and we invested a lot of money in the new equipment. The chief laser scanner has gone out several times and has not lasted over a years time for any one of the replacement scanners. We only measure a handful of cars a years and cannot count on the equipment ever functioning properly. We have had to pay for several scanners at this point and not one of them has lasted. Chief has not done anything to help us figure out what the problem is with their equipment. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND A CHIEF FRAME MEASURING SYSTEM TO ANYONE AT THIS TIME!
