If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. My husband and I just stopped in to get a couple of coins looked at, they had a few people ahead of us. We waited until someone was available and the guy took our coins out of the bag, switched them into a coin case and shoed us out the door because he had a 1 o'clock appointment. Even though he was helping us first, he could have asked us to wait and speak to someone else. He didn't even flip the coins over to look at them and in lack of better words, told us not to waste his time. Very disappointed. Will NEVER go back. Not to mention the lights constantly flickering and the guy eating his sandwich off the glass counter top.
In response to the comment back to my review, we took the coins to another place in fishers. (1964 and 1966 are the correct dates by the way.) We are currently in the process of getting a pretty hefty check on the actual value of those coins. They gave me the time of day and the 1964 coin is an actual rare coin worth a lot of money. Thanks for no time, and I hope you improve on your customer service abilities before the business goes under.

I’ve visited coin shops in most US cities. If you are a collector, you know that coin shops can be divided into two categories… The ones where you feel welcome to browse and spend time, and the ones where no one talks and the owner is less interested in you. The Lost Dutchman shop is one of the former. Very welcoming, and the guys are so nice, especially with children and novices. I can tell it is important to this shop to foster the hobby. One of the best. (My 10 year old son loves this shop!)
Adding one more comment…for those of you reading negative comments from coin sellers. A family member inherited a coin collection and asked me to go with him to sell some coins. This shop 1.) gave him a little more than I thought the coins should fetch, 2.) was patient as the collection was sentimental from a dear family member, and 3.) showed class by offering us a whisky shot and a toast to our departed family member.

My go-to place to sell and buy. Maybe not the broadest selection, but they are knowledgeable and treat the customer very well. Good place to buy collection supplies.

The service is amzing and friendly. The staff is genuine in any of your concernes and will go out of their way to make you happy. The prices and values are fair. The coin shop staff also has amazing recomendations. Matt, one of the staff, co-runs a podcast called The Coin Show Podcast, which informs listeners about recent coins news among other topics. They offered to show me a very rare Continental Currency (which I think is long gone from the shop) which they knew was way out of my price range. They did this out of their friendlyness.
