Just moved back to the area. Had to find a vet quickly because my dog has bad allergies and in need of her apoquel. Found Animal Medical Center online and was able to get in quickly. All the ladies were friendly and the vet was very thorough with my German Shepard's exam. The vet also took.time to listen to us about how to handle our girl because she is very protective of her mama and can be a little extra.

Dr. LaMere is a most caring, concerned, and thoughtful person. I have no doubt that the health of my dog is always paramount whenever we visit her office. She’s just outstanding in her field.

Was recommended this place for being better than the places around me, couldn’t even make it past the front desk woman’s attitude when I called. No thanks. :) that’s what I’m tired of, being treated like nobody has the time for me. I’m wanting a patient and caring place, not someone who has an attitude just making the damn appointment as a new patient. NEXT. Ugh. Looks like I’m stuck driving an hour for my dogs until these places get friendlier.

Our pets have been going here for years and sadly have only seen a decline in care since Dr. Sako & Dr. Newsom left the office. Dr. Pratcher saw my two dogs for the first time for their yearly exams recently and didn’t do a thorough job at all & I was very unimpressed by her. She didn’t look at their teeth, scan my lab’s body for lumps/tumors (which they have always done in the past with the other vets), barely looked at his ears & ignored my concerns when I said he has been acting very strange and depressed suddenly.
We paid to get labs done and thankfully they came back good. However, what bothered me is the doctor said she would call me on Monday at the latest since my dog had blood work done on a Friday. She could’ve called me on Saturday, the following day, but said that they can get crazy & I was empathetic to that and eagerly waited for a phone call on Monday. She didn’t call me all week… I had to keep calling the office to get answers and finally reached somebody on Thursday to request his results. I just thought that was very unprofessional that she didn’t call me when she said she would and I still ended up having to reach out to her office to get answers and results for my dog. Additionally, their office is supposed to open at 8 AM, but their phones are always off and there’s no option to leave a voicemail when they are open for business hours which is very frustrating.
Really what did me in was the fact that my dog was just there a few days ago & he definitely has something wrong with his teeth. His jaw and lip are quivering all the time and he’s drooling on one side of his mouth. When I tried to open my dog’s mouth he doesn’t let me and if I finally get it open, he is yelping out in terrible pain. I don’t understand why his teeth weren’t looked at. I paid for that visit obviously and feel like we should’ve gotten the thorough physical exam like we always have had in the past. She just did a crap job and she doesn’t seem to truly care about the pets she sees, doesn’t care about patient concerns, and just wants to get you in and out and sees dollar signs. Now I have to pay to take my dog somewhere else to get looked at and taken care of. Also, she never called my pets by their names which may sound silly to be irritated about, but I’ve never had a vet not call my pets by their name. I guess my point with that is is that she runs it like a business and it’s not personal or heartfelt at all. Finally, since this new vet has taken over the office charges you seven dollars to get a paper script so you can get your animal’s scripts filled somewhere else. Their office literally charges double the price of Chewy or Costco so I will never pay them for my dog’s meds. Save your money and go somewhere else. This place is sadly not what it used to be. I will say that the front office staff is very friendly and helpful though

Dr. LaMere is the worst veterinarian I've EVER had the misfortune of dealing with. In the past, I took my dog there to see Dr. Pratscher, who is amazing!! I took a chance with Dr. LaMere and will never forgive myself! I have a 9 year old Golden Retriever, who has always been on meds for anxiety, and is petrified of riding in a vehicle. Dr. LaMere entered the room, made NO attempt at pleasantries to my dog, myself, or my 23 year old autistic daughter. So much for the "We go above and beyond to make your furry friend feel calm and safe" message that plays on the phone while on hold. None of that with Dr. LaMere!! She was rude, abrasive, judgmental because my dog is overweight, and was overdue for her vaccinations! Yes, she was overdue, but Dr. LaMere wasn't interested in the legitimate reasons for it. And my dog, Pixie also has a luxating patella, making getting her exercise extremely difficult. The vet techs were phenomenal, as was the front office staff. Extremely sad when the actual "doctor" I paid $724.00 to care for my dog is just mean and uncaring. Both my dog and 23 year old daughter cried all the way home. I have NEVER been so angry and disappointed with another doctor in my life! She needs her license revoked!

I can’t say enough good about this place. We took our very sick dog to get checked out. Unfortunately, we had to put her down. The entire staff was so kind and accommodating in what was one of the worst times for my family. I genuinely don’t know how we would have gotten through such a hard loss without the staff being so kind to us and our Daisy.
