I love what Moxy is about (their merch was wonderful) and the place was very clean and simply styled. Alicia jumped right in, was interesting to talk with, and she went the whole 9 yards with the wash, massage, hot towel on the face, etc. I gave a little input and away she went; I love what she did with my hair.
I'm newer to the area and I've tried several different places. Moxy is far and away my favorite experience. Reasonably priced, professional, friendly, and skilled.
I cannot express enough how refreshing it was to have things done the right way in a simple manner. No shortcuts and no unnecessary excess--just perfect.

I just had my first appointment with Alicia, and this is the happiest I’ve been with a haircut in a long time. I have very wavy, slightly curly hair, and she’s the first stylist who actually knew how to both cut and style my hair the way I like. This might also be the first time I’ve left the salon with a wavy style I was happy to show off immediately and wasn’t thinking to myself, “Well, I’ll have to wait until I wash and style it myself to see how I really feel.” Alicia herself was welcoming and friendly, and she obviously knows her stuff. i cannot say enough great things about moxy! as a black woman, especially one who lives in a predominantly-white community, it is especially challenging to find stylists not only that i trust, but those who KNOW how to handle my hair. alicia and morgan were recommended to me after i had left a previous salon with unwanted results; yet, the previous mishap on my hair is undetectable! i have received so many compliments on my hair and, most importantly, i am OBSESSED with my results. not only are these women extremely talented, alicia and morgan were both incredibly personable, kind-hearted, and listened to my “hair goals”. i plan to schedule at moxy from this point forward— the hour drive is definitely with it! thank you, alicia + morgan!
