We have a love / hate relationship with Rent One. If you are in desperate need and this is your absolute last option, try something else. Initially the customer service will be superb. It doesn’t matter how long you are with them you won’t build even a business relationship with them. I have dealt with several buy here pay here companies but this one takes the cake. This is by far the least professional when it comes to customer service that I have ever seen in a company. We purchased furniture from their Evansville branch nearly 2 years ago. Didn’t miss a payment for that entire time. Not one. Life happened and things changed. We still continue to make all of our payments but sometimes it’s a week or two late. ($2k overall paid it to $576) This is when the true colors of rent one kick in……. They have borderline started harassing me. They call me breakfast,lunch,and dinner. Leave voicemails each time and follow it up with 3 text a day! This is for being a week late…….. then they start calling references. This is all for being a week or two late…. Sometimes when I respond to their text I am greeted by a smart remark from their reps just repeating how many days late I am. In conclusion, if you can stay away from this place I would. If not, I would at least write down the wrong number for references.
Update: As you can tell, they barely even read the reviews! Their generic response to every complaint on here should show you how piss poor their customer service is. I bet they get a really good bonus for reviews!

I called in Tuesday BEFORE placing an order online to confirm delivery and was told Thursday or Friday. I placed the order and was contacted the next day, Wednesday morning, and was told I would be given a call back later that day for a delivery time. Hours pass I never get a call so I call them. Said I’d get a call and didn’t. The next conversation was them telling me they didn’t know when the washer and dryer would be delivered so after some back and forth they called and told me Friday around noon. Great. Friday comes and one of the items are damaged so I refuse the delivery and call the store to cancel my order. They called me on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and here it is Monday and they’re still calling me and my references to get in contact. I don’t owe them anything, they actually owe me a refund, and I have none of your products so why are they calling me or anyone else I know? Never again.

I went into the store to pickup the item and was told they would call me because they hadn't checked my references. Then, I was called and told they got my details mixed up. Fine. So I then was told to come into the store to fill out an application (which I had filled out already online). I decided to cancel the order after the hassle. And was then told "well I'm not just give you a $1000 computer with no details". They have the worst attitude. The computer is barely worth that much out right and def not worth dealing with barbaric people. Also, they took my ID when I entered the store, my references online, my money, and my time. Wasteful. What an absolute waste of time and money. Do not go here. Just go to Rent A Center.
